Dungeon finder, out of touch with the community

During Wrath…I mean, Bath Salts are fine and all while you are high, it is that eating faces phase afterwards that you want to account for in your overall decision making of whether or not the entire experience is worth it.

We did. It is why retail is in death throes and classic was 10x bigger than they expected.

the reverse is going to happen with classic wrath and no lfd and dragonflight is going to be way bigger.

#1 Retail should always be bigger than classic. It costs a disgusting amount of money to make more than classic does and they actually advertise for it.

#2 Retail being bigger doesn’t mean that classic is not more profitable than it and shouldn’t be protected as an ongoing entity instead of retails sad eventuality.

Oh no man, you misunderstood, I wanted this thread so I could read the funny messages. lol

blizzard wil lmake their money off of you raiders buying the wow token and using it for classic wrath gold just like a lot of you did in classic tbc.

No lfd but character level boost are ok? What a joke haha.

Talk about out of touch…

Let’s call this what it really is. A way for you to save money on instance servers for a rereleased IP. Making it harder for players to find groups and run dungeons = less dungeons being ran = less resources needed = more profit from that Subscription. Additionally it throttles the community on progression due to how important spec specific gear becomes with this expansion. It’s no longer a one robe or weapon is BIS for almost all anymore. You are purposely slogging down this expansion, and it will ruin it for most everyone who plays it.

I never complained about the lack of LFG in Classic or TBC, because they were not part of the original. The POINT of Classic server is to play the game AS IT EXISTED or as close to as possible as the original.

Time after time I allow myself to get excited about something Blizzard announces or has planned. I should know better at this point. You will ALWAYS find some MAJOR WAY to ruin things that quite honestly are really simple or should have been left as they are.

Thanks for yet against being a disappointment Blizzard. Not only to me, but for every person who has limited playtime and can’t sit looking for a group for hours, or for the people who play during off peak hours. For people who do not want to join a MEGA guild, like it seems you want to be forcing people into.

I would say do better - but at this point, after half my lifetime playing your games, I know that’s not going to happen.

Comparing RDF while its current and not comparing it combined and against later system and implementations such as Raid Finder to bath salts and being high? like please tell me you did not just do that, beyond stupid hahaha

Odd how they didn’t listen to the community who don’t want boost in which I’ve seen far more of (I am fine with it btw). But that would mean less money for Blizz…

You had specified that LFD seemed fine to you and some other people during Wrath. My point is that the full cost of LFD wasn’t apparent during Wrath, but in hindsight should be given what it does and what it led to.

Hence the “I’m sure it starts fine but there is more to it” analogy. Keep up

As another stated “imagine playing an MMORPG but not wanting to talk to anyone or travel anywhere, just sitting in a town, clicking a button and being automatically put in a group and teleported to the dungeon”

All the people thinking that folk queued up for RDF would be standing around randomly. No lol, we’d be doing quests/dailies with much deeper immersion now that we don’t need to constantly look at our chat log or bulletin board addon. We’d be farming gold, gathering herbs, etc…

No one truly felt RDF would be expected in classic vanilla or tbc, but since it was literally in wrath it should be part of the content as is.

The reason why few spoke out about why it should be included until now is because it was basically a no brainer that it’d be in wrath and thus we’d have no need to defend it. But somehow here we are.

Why did Blizzard add spell batching despite it making the game worse? Because it was authentic. Same idea, and many even agree that RDF makes the game more fun not less so.

Anyone who doesn’t want RDF can just stay in vanilla or TBC. You had your time, let the people who loved Wrath play it the way that they remember. Show us the same courtesy we showed you.

You do give me a good laugh, I’ll give you that. A quick search shows that two months ago you were begging for help because you didn’t know how to play your class. Now you’ve spent the night talking down on people as though you’ve mastered the game. All because wanting convenience of the LFD tool somehow makes them ‘bad’ in your eyes.

What? How do you think people level alts right now? They level during their work hours or they watch a TV show or play another game while their character levels up. Come Wrath they’ll just outright buy it because they’ll be able to do it legally.
You think that people who leveled actually playing the game were something to be looked down on because they skipped the travel time? Man you are impressive.

im starting to think they dont want wrath to succeed so we all buy dragons

They had to get their bonus money outside of your sub fee from somewhere. Lets not forget it was limited to one per account and not eligible for the new races. They could’ve gone fully prolific with boosts but they held back for whatever reason. Boosts were definitely all about the money (same goes for clones and special edition sales) but it could have been much worse - or better - depending on your point of view.

There was plenty of opposition to boosts but there was also a ton of people who were totally in favor of them. They chose a side and it was the one that makes them some money - no surprise there. LFD isnt really in the same category as it isnt a cash shop item but they’re choosing a side and it probably benefits them as well to do so.

I think LFD should be in there as it was a Wrath feature but I dont find its removal to be particularly game breaking or problematic in any way. Others are free to feel differently but Wrath isnt going to sink because of it. Wrath is gonna be just fine.

This whole idea of the dungeon finder killing the social aspect of wow is so stupid in my opinion. It helped create it for me. It is single handedly what got me into group content, helped encourage me to get into tanking which helped me get into a guild and get into raiding. The vast majority of the time if you form a group no one in the group talks anyway, they want to get in and get it done as fast as possible. Does the dungeon finder allow for toxicity? Sure to a certain degree, but I still feel it’s limited and wrath dungeons are so easy anyway that you can just easily deal with it. I am so disappointed that they’ve decided to leave it out and is really making me consider whether I even want to bother playing wrath. I probably will but not to the level I was hoping to.

imagine wanting to spam a copy and pasted message in a world chat for 30 mins and if you’re lucky enough to form a group, having everyone get summoned there (wow almost like teleporting with extra steps!) and then no one talks anyway.

yikes
