it’s all part of the same spectrum. if it’s bad for the goose, it’s bad for the gander.
that’s not what it accomplished during wrath and is reliant on LFR and later systems coming into place, just the draw the line and its successful.
It’s not bad for the goose so not sure where you are going with that
it gets the goose cooked in the fatty oils of queue-based gameplay.
Training the population to rely on random queueing again and trusting blizzard to be able to stop them is just playing with fire.
It is like trusting a junkie that it is really only “just one more hit”. It isn’t, it hasn’t been, and nothing in history has suggested that it will be.
The positives of LFD do not outweigh the negatives, much less what it inevitably will lead to. The fact that you have hope/trust that blizzard will change in response to complaints here but stand up to them later after giving in does not make sense.
Either way it still beats the current system in TBCC and bulletin-board scanning for hours on end.
And here is likely where we disagree. I think myself and a few others at least would put up with that for a chance to prevent what retail became.
well, thats been established, but that’s fine – we will keep going until we get RDF
This sounds like a ‘you’ problem. Perhaps revisit your methodology and incorporate more socializing if you want to be more successful.
A lot of revisionist history here or not being on the forums and part of the feedback cycle when both Wrath and Cata were current is all I can say.
you can armory me and see i was definitely apart of OG wrath, i stand by that every one on my server and any one i saw online was mostly positive about RDF DURING wrath.
Dungeon finder needs to be in the game. Blizzard gets stuff wrong so often it’s laughable
no lfd just cost blizzard my boost money thats for sure
Perhaps come to faerlina and show me how to socialize on a bulletin-board mainly filled with boosts, and a LFG Channel that is quite literally impossible to manually track. Also tell me why the classic community basically made an addon as close to a dungeon finder they could just so they could at least TRY to play the game, haha.
Don’t you know? I’m already on Faerlina. She’s my sister realm, connected to mine along with Benediction, Heartseeker, and Nethwind. I don’t have any of your addon-related burdens but I assure you: the game is quite playable without them.
Yeah sure, if i extend my LFG window to the size of my screen, entire blocks of text will be completely new every 1-2 seconds, You are just being ignorant.
If LFD was realm-restricted, I’d be cool with it. But having cross-server LFD is terrible MMORPG game design. Queueing with random players doesn’t build up the community/friends/guilds and encourages toxicity because you’re playing with people you’ll never see again.
I wouldn’t care if it was realm restricted because I play on a server with enough people that wouldn’t matter, but it would be extremely poor for lower pop servers – and i don’t agree that cross-realm can’t build up any form of connections and is only toxic, i had very to little toxic experiences with it in wrath and formed many connections.
I would argue that I see an equal amount of toxicity in LFD on retail as I do in LFG chat on Classic… It’s a matter of being able to hide behind a screen. It wont necessarily ruin your reputation within the community when 90% of people create alts specifically intended for trolling the chat logs anyways.
I love this guy. Holding his boost money over blizzard to give him random queueing.
Buddy save your time and money, retail is a thing, go enjoy it.
