Hey Team Blizz,
Please reevaluate this for LFR.
Situation: People queue and get inserted into already active groups with downed bosses A LOT and it’s a terrible waste of time to have to stay in a group in which you are already saved to bosses.
I understand the intent is to curb this behavior, but lets be serious, in LFR that’s not gonna happen and you end up punishing people that just want to maximize their time in game.
This is not something that Customer Support can help with. This is a mostly player driven help desk with some Support Forum Agents helping out. None of us are able to pass along feedback about wanted changes to the game.
You can go post in the Raids subforum or use the in-game suggestion box as well.
I wouldn’t expect it to be removed, it was added for very good reason. If you have a suggestion to make it better (such as subsequent bosses giving some crests or chance to drop Warbound gear) then make sure you include those.
People that suggest this be removed don’t know why it was added to begin with. It was added because especially tanks and sometimes healers were holding groups hostage and demanding to be kicked if they didn’t get “the right” dungeon.
Partially accurate. While the dungeon deserter buff itself is old and implemented because of that, the current way it works was added not long into the start of The War Within.
Prior, you would not get the debuff if you killed at least one boss in both LFR and LFD.
People were leaving after the first boss on one of the Season 1 dungeons farming for a trinket. Since they killed the first boss they would leave and not have a debuff. Others would then join then leave since the boss they wanted was dead, creating a vicious cycle.
The debuff was added to leaving at any point in the dungeon/raid not long after that.
I’m afraid Jeysca is correct and providing advice on where it is best to post, including their opinion on the validity of the feature, is not considered trolling (to the one person who reported this post as such - O.o ).
Aelin, if you feel the Dungeon Deserter Debuff should be updated you’ll want to either post in the Dungeons, Raids & Scenarios forum or submit a suggestion through the option found in-game through the Support menu so our Game Developers can see it.
