So I was doing a dungeon as I was leveling when the tank skipped all the bosses and went straight to the last boss. We got in a argument about if we get bonus rewards for doing the listed bosses, we never came to a agreement and so I wanted to ask if there is any reward for killing the listed bosses.
Short answer is no. Blizz removed it.
I’d rather full clear but that’s because I value trash exp.
All of the worthwhile dungeon XP comes from what the game considers to be “the last boss”. It used to come from checking off all the kills on the list as a reward for completing the “scenario”.
Bonus objective kills used to reward a chunk of XP, but that was removed and as far as I could tell, not re-implemented into the actual monster kill NPC XP like the “end of scenario” chunk was. Not that it matters, it was bugged for like a year prior to this where it wasn’t actually giving you the XP it said it would.
For leveling time-efficiency, always just beeline it to the “last” boss (which isn’t always what you’d intuitively consider to the be last boss). No more fat bonuses for killing bonus objective bosses, not worth clearing trash (even for DPS - they’re much better off just questing between dungeon queues).
It’s a bummer.
