So I read a blue post that on your first play through you have to complete a zone’s campaign in order to unlock that particular dungeon again. I’m level 57 right now and I have finished Bastion and Maldraxxus. Currently working my way through the Ardenweald quest line. I wanted to practice healing as a holy paladin because of the changes. I want to get comfortable so I’m not a total potato when I get to lvl 60. But come to find out Nercrotic wake is not in my dungeon finder anymore. As a side note I did specifically target that dungeon on a play through instead of random. I thought normal & heroic dungeons don’t lock out only mythic (non keys) So Im thoroughly confused can anyone clear this up for me. I know the easy answer is just get to 60 and finish the campaigns.
Heroic has a lock out when you queue specifically for it, but no lock out if you random queue.
Makes sense. You wouldn’t want to randomly queue for a dungeon only to find it’s one you can’t get loot from because you’ve already done it that day.
Still raises the question of why it has a daily lockout in the first place.
Probably a legacy from the time when heroic dungeons are considered hard content and gave good loot.
thing is I didnt que for heroic. I did it once on normal and now I cant do it again…
I’ve actually just noticed this as well. N Necrotic Wake is missing in my list.
Unless you’re using the Threads of Fate mechanic, there is no scaling in Shadowlands content. That means Necrotic Wake, the dungeon for the first zone, has a level range of 50-53. If you’re outside of that range, you can’t queue for it.
Thank you so much! @augustoc I just watched a video on The Threads of Fate mechanic and now it makes sense.
