How is this even possible. What enemy is hostile in SENTINEL HILL at the tower?
Going AFK in any hardcore game is a great way to start over.

What hostile creature spawns AT the escort quest at tower?
None.
Your combat log will tell you what got you.
If you need to go afk, logout. It’s the safest way.

Im in a TOWN, the only thing I can think of is the birds but they are nowhere near the tower

There’s an inn at Sentinel Hill too!

this doesn’t explain why hostile creatures are entering towns untouched by guards and killing players

Seriously stand next to the tower escort quest and try to TARGET a hostile creature
Kinda sussy tho, other bodies were dead around that same spot . Again tho no hostile creature spawns at the tower. So myself and 3 others today lost chars at the escort today lol
Sentinel Hill isn’t a town, it’s a frontier outpost. Not that it matters, take a look at the DeathLog heatmap of the nearest capitol city, Stormwind. Being in town is no protection if you’re afk, or even if you’re not afk.
There’s an old dusty barn just down the hill from the tower where you can log out instantly.

Everyone just says look at log. Nobody can tell me tho what HOSTILE creature SPAWNS at the escort spot at tower.
I’m going again, have nothing better in my life right now.
Just lame I die afk at spot that has NO HOSTILE SPAWNS
I asked because I don’t know and am curious as to what could have done it.

Im assuming its the birds they pat around ( I cant check the log I deleted char to make another with same name) but I have never seen hostile creatures at the tower. So I dunno lol, and why are there 3 other bodies where I died at the same spot escort?
The boar feint death seems okay but the guards would have taken aggro first before me afk

Very possible you were killed by a griefer. Game is not designed this way, but it is possible to pull mobs to someone and have them un aggro the person who pulled them and then aggro anything next to them. Very clearly says that doing exactly that is against the rules in HC. Possible you died by that way as there seems to be very few other ways you could have died while actually in that area. You were likely griefed by some random person who wanted to cause random chaos.
So I made a new char. Found a dead body in the starting zone next to quest npc’s
basically where you spawn in a new char. How did they die? If you attack a wolf and run the wolf resets. Tested it. So this gnome, spawned into the game, went afk probably didn’t want to watch the cinematic and came back dead. This game has no safe spot. If blizzaard wants you dead, youre dead
Nothing has to spawn in that location to kill you. It could just be malicious actions by another player pulling mobs on top of AFK players to kill them.
So again AFKing in a hardcore game is a great way to get killed and have to start over.
Sounds more like a death wish to me.
