Dual wield warrior

Hey so I’ve been leveling a warrior, leveling as dual wield (and having a blast, super fun) but I have a question about weapon speeds. I know it maybe doesn’t matter for leveling but I like trying to do the “right thing” so to speak where possible, though I’m not a minmaxer. But what is the general idea with weapon speeds? For some reason I’m thinking slow main hand, fast off hand, is that right? Does it even make a difference? I know they normalized rage generation at some point, but I don’t think it was in TBC.

You want both slow in TBC, because whirlwind hits with both weapons and is based upon weapon damage (which is higher on a slow weapon, dps being equal).

In vanilla, speed didn’t really matter for the offhand, because ww only hit with the mainhand. But it matters in TBC.

Also sweeping strikes, same deal.

Ok cool, thanks.
