you do realize that your whole argument falls apart if zipzo simply says,
“I don’t like those things either”
Right…
Seal of Martyr is not a valid argument because it was made in the interest of game balance that would be significantly affected by not having it. Same to drums.
Just because the 58 boosts happened, and imo, had a very disastrous effect on TBCC, doesn’t mean I think it’s fine to do other things that could have similarly negative effects. What don’t you understand about this not being a floodgate?
The mounts are just Blizzard fleecing players for $. Is it annoying? Yes, but it doesn’t inherently change anything about the TBC experience (significantly).
It’s not really an argument when the whole basis is, “I think so.”
I’m just listing things that are in the game. That’s all I’m doing.
Your comparisons are faulty, and you’re failing to correct them and repeating them ad-nauseam.
This is what an argument is. The attempt to express a viewpoint so that others may agree with the findings and come to a similar conclusion. its still an opinion at its core.
Same with Dual Spec. A lot of folks want to balance performing more than one role by being able to switch at their convenience. Drums too.
Not sure how any of these things have been disastrous. The fact that Blizzard still makes them available would lead me to believe they disagree with your sentiments. As far as I know, players are still boosting, still riding Rift Stalkers, etc.
A lot of these things were argued against before the game was released. They were still implemented. This means, regardless of how much of a detriment you believe they are, these aspects are what the majority of the player-base wants.
Oh, it doesn’t change anything significantly?
Nice hand-wave.
Have you ever tried doing stuff like this and the person opposite you say, “Oh yes, tell me all about the logistics of this interaction we’re having so I can understand exactly what’s going on between us.” ?
yes.
I have.
From the sounds of it, you haven’t.
Edit: but what’s your point?
So, in this fantasy I conjured up on the spot which also happens to be spot-on to your own experience, is the other party taking you seriously?
OH SORRY, Here i thought you were gonna be fair and realize i didn’t meant that event happened word for word.
The concept has happened where the person actually wanted to understand the differences and hoped to learn a different point of view.
I totally forgot that you argue in bad faith.
Oh is this the new auto-troll response on Dual Spec? You forgot to tell us all that it’ll be in Wrath when it releases.
I guess Wrath is retail now.
I don’t think it would do much for the dungeon tank shortage, but I wouldn’t mind having it in the game so that I could bounce between different play specs more freely.
Hmm, I thought I was pretty on-the-nose when I made my earlier comment about the logistics of an interaction, but you’re apparently still under the impression that what’s going on between us is an “argument.”
I’d love to put things into layman’s terms, but you seem to think you’re an intelligent person. Your ego might get in the way.
What a colorful way of telling me you think I’m stupid.
Your response definitely confirms I was right about your ego.
This is the question that no one wants to answer.
OK buddy, you confirm whatever you want. I’m hoping it helps.
There are people who would like to tank or heal some but the costs are too high. Not just the respec cost but the cost in not questing, farming, of pvp. I had a druid in vanilla and BC that never healed because in a resto spec questing, farming, and pvp wasn’t any fun. I wanted to heal but i didn’t want to be nerfed in all the rest of the game. I healed with her in wrath. I’m doing the same thing this time around. I’d like to heal with my druid but won’t do it until dual spec is added. Blizzard is making people make a choice, tank or heal and not have fun with the other 3/4 of the game or play the rest of the game and don’t tank or heal.
It’s a question that has been answered dozens of times in these threads. If you were able to read you’d know it.
I want to answer this question.
I have a guildy, A Paladin, who does Holy for raiding but wants to go Prot for Heroics because he hates healing Heroics. Unfortunately, he doesn’t want to pay 50g every time he switches specs. He said a dual-spec option would be something he’d definitely invest in if it were offered.
