You think he’s going to get any gear out of arena? He’s a tourist and will be gone by month’s end.
That’s pure speculation and conjecture, and the same could be said of any of the changes made to Retail. “Blizzard realised Azeroth is better with flying!” “Blizzard realised it is important for players to play as Vulpera!”
All I have stated is that you insulted and derided other posters for their opinions on dual spec, when those opinions are consistent with Blizzard’s opinions on respeccing at the time. Again:
From Nethaera in 2006:
We would like to continue to support the idea that respecs should be very carefully thought out strategic decisions.
Whether that’s how players treat the game is irrelevant, because that’s not what your original argument was when you insulted another poster. And it certainly doesn’t mean Blizzard should just throw in the towel and roll over because people are using their product in a way they didn’t want it to be used.
Arena is designed to derp your way up to a decent rewards to get you hooked. It’s not RNG will you get seal clubbed by a premade like BGs. You know going into arena everyone is already a premade lol.
Indeed.
It goes both ways.
Choices matter in Classic, and this game is meant to create an environment that makes it a MMORPG and not a single player game in which you just see people who are online while you do you.
Find a group of people to play with, that’s mostly what guilds are for, or offer to group up with people who are questing in the area so you can gather with them
Making the pit stop is core to the RPG genre though. It shouldn’t be easy to change your specialization. It should require some effort.
This logic doesn’t work at all. This is an MMO-RPG, not a single player RPG. What you do and what options you have effect everyone.
The tough choice is deciding what spec you’re going to be for the foreseeable future. For a lot of players, this is a tough choice, because they aren’t willing to pay the respec costs.
Slippery slope fallacy right there. So what does TBCC mean? That we should just bring on any change that, surface level, seems fun? Lots of people ask for transmog, should that be added too?
Dual spec will come Suboptimal. It will just come in Wrath of the Lich King.
TBC will stay TBC.
I can tell you never played TBC arena… it’s RNG as hell… even the tornado is a clue to that. Know your role and stick to retail when giving advice on games you don’t know anything about.
I have done no such thing. I’ve simply called out nonsense when I see nonsense. I’m not attacking their character. Simply their statement.
There are choices that matter in this game. Matter in the sense that they can not be easily changed. Things such as Race and Class, or Horde vs Alliance. These are long lasting decisions that one should think on before committing. But picking a talent build lasts only until I decide to change it again.
That is fact. Regardless of how anyone feels about how it should be, it is a mercurial thing.
If Blizzard truly wanted your talent build to be something that shouldn’t be easily changed, they would have made respecs cost 1,000 gold. Or have a 7 day CD. Or require an experience sacrifice. They didn’t though. They attatched a minour gold cost. So you can quote some dev making a statement, but history has shown how they really felt.
So anyone who posts here trying to argue that selecting your talents is a serious consideration, and that we shouldn’t be able to alter that choice on a whim, is welcome to that option. But that isn’t how it is set up in game now. It’s not how it has ever been. That is fantastical, revisionist history.
Dual spec for hybrids or healers would be nice, but unfortunately the feature would be abused and pan out badly overall. If they made dual spec a thing, 99% of people would immediately make their 2nd spec the optimal PVP one. Then the world would be filled with people all in pvp spec absolutely everywhere. It would really suck for the game.
50g used to be a lot more of a barrier back in the day. nowadays it seems like a joke because of inflation.
Its not necessarily the selection on the talent points, its more the Decision on weather spending the 100g to switch and switch back is worth it. For me personally its not. That’s a choice I make.
Dual spec 100% negates this choice. A one time fee of 1k gold. That’s only 10 swaps. To and from. I would swap two to three times a day, without a thought about it.
Dual spec will come in WotLK where it belongs
It is a semantic difference to say “I never insulted you, I just said you’re spouting delusional drivel and you have no idea what you’re talking about!”
Also, I stopped reading there. It’s not nonsense, it is the position of Blizzard. If you’re so arrogant that you can’t accept that then I have nothing more to discuss with you.
If its such a joke then why are you so passionate about it.
