Dual spec PLEASE

actually a tank main, but still wrath is coming, wait your turn

dual spec yummy

Still have it WAY better than healers.

Be patient, what until arena starts and the number of dual spec threads increase exponentially.

Blizzard already has a solution to this problem, it took them a year to implement first time around so we didnt get it until LK. But given that we have foresight and the codes already been written, it should be faster.

I am prot paladin. And I don’t care if 2nd spec comes in. If it will make players happy, then they should add it!

I also hope that TBC won’t last as long as Classic did. ~year is enough time to clear all 15 year old content.

Anyway, will it damage TBC? God no. Will it p1ss off 30 year dudes crying for #nochanges like little girls? Heck yeah.

Theres about 3 of them on this forum monopolizing every Dual Spec thread with personal insults and misdirection on every subject.

The game is about fun. If it’s fun for you to quest and farm in a resto spec go for it. It’s not fun for me so I’m not healing on my druid. That’s my choice. That means less dungeons for me and for the groups looking for a healer. The game is now less of an mmo and more like a solo game. It’s less fun for me and less fun for those who can’t group when they can’t find a healer.

Most questing and farming was designed to be done solo. The vast majority of players quest and farm solo most of the time. Anyone who doesn’t realize that is clueless about the game.

It depends on what you want to do in the game. You can’t do what I do unless you’re holy specced. I like doing pugs and don’t mind if the tank is inexperienced or undergeared or even just not very good. Some times the dps is also inexperienced or not good and makes mistakes and pulls an extra group or pulls aggro off the tank. To compensate for those problems I need the extra healing power of a healing spec.

I love how people such as yourself keep saying “It’s coming” it is, in Wrath. You can plan a pretty picnic but you can’t predict the weather. So stop this “It’s coming!” You wouldn’t be making thread 40 about it if it was.

As horde bg queues are an hour each, which makes farming honor nearly impossible. This in turn puts you massively behind when arena eventually comes.

In other words, dual spec is pointless. It doesn’t do anything except alter the way pve is supposed to be played. For the majority of the horde anyways.

You’re more than welcome to try anything you want, if it works great, but if it doesn’t then sucks to suck.

I don’t think they should add dual spec. Choosing your spec ought to be a meaningful choice not something you can just do at a moment’s notice. I think it also takes away from spec identity and player reputation.

It’ll come in Wrath for sure though.

Have a feeling u probably will end up on more ignore lists than dungeon groups.

Seriously learn to play the game dual spec wasn’t even a thought in 2007 and healers didn’t complain. Get good or go back to retail.

I think you are just going to find yourself uninvited to a lot of content.

“Oh. It’s her.”

(not to quote on the entire post)
But a counter argument would be that WoW does not only revolve around questing and brainlessly farming mats. The really big/major focus is end game content, as well as end game is what takes up most of your game time. Sure, there are folks who only play the game for leveling here and there, but they wouldn’t be complaining about the lack of dual spec.

Am I right or am I right?

Except that the only meanings choice is what parts of the game am I willing to suck at so I can do one thing well.

And I can change that at a moments notice. As often as I like. It’s just annoying and time consuming. It’s not hard and requires no skill to do it.

There’s a different between “sucking” and “not being optimized.” These are not the same thing.

It’s supposed to be annoying and time consuming. While you might still be willing to do it, others aren’t. That’s how the system works.

I’m a healer and I would never charge for a respec. On my DPS characters, I’d simply find another healer who knew how to play the game better if they needed to respec everytime. I can do solo content and heal with my one spec. Since you were too cowardly to post on your healer character, we can’t really see your class/spec, but I would think that most healing capable classes have the ability to do some solo content as well. You’re doing it wrong.

I don’t claim wow revolves around questing and farming. I was responding to the claim it revolves around groups. There are several facets of the game and it’s not all about end game for many people. We’re all not rushing though the leveling process to raid. I and many others like the longer slower pace of leveling in the earlier expansions more than the game design of retail that nerfed down the leveling content to facilitate the rush to end game. Dual spec is needed with some specs so the can do both groups and questing and farming solo.
