Dual spec please

Only thing people are looking for group wise is dps and a tank, lately it’s all be spam for dps rn.

Tanks and healers are making groups and spamming for dps for 10-20 minutes because a dps trying to make groups is kind of useless.

Probably different on higher pop servers

I would like to point out that TBC is the only expansion that has the arena game mode without DS. It is also the only one with a smaller raid size of 25 men without DS. Lastly, it’s the only expansion with heroic 5m without DS.

Because of the reduction in raid size, the comp is more serious; it is no longer possible to efficiently clear raids with wrong specs. The expectation to be properly specced for PVE and PVP is very high. None plays arena with the wrong spec, you won’t even get invited, won’t be able to survive without PVP talents like Focused Will.

TBC also introduces daily quests and more farming opportunities. Imagine a healer/tank farming dailies, reputation items like the Obsidian warbeards, that would be a torture.

The only problem DS brings is the change in raid dynamics, which can be easily solved by making DS usable only in rested areas.

Another middle-ground approach is to cap the respec fee at 20g. Problem solved with little work.

What problem? You can already respec. TBC isnt forcing people into one spec - its just asking you to do something for the privilege.

To them, the slightest inconvenience is a game breaking design flaw that must be fixed.

The people begging for dual spec are the same ones that think the nerfs to T5 raids (before T6 is out) for when 8/10 of the bosses are now LFR difficulty is ok…

When it’s current content, it should not be nerfed to that degree. If T6 was out, there wouldn’t be an issue.

I do my dailies and farm in holy spec all the time, it’s fine

my kill time with Disc PVP is around 20s plus with frequent breaks, and my shadow in leveling gear could kill things within 15s.

Now I do have some OS items for shadow, I believe the gap is wider now. I can estimate that shadow kill time is around 10s which is half of my Disc PVP spec.

Tell that to the holy paladins, restore druids

My guildie used to farm as resto all the time, found it very easy. Our holy pally doesn’t like farming anything that isn’t playing FFXIV but I used to play one back when and didn’t find it all that impossible since you can aoe grind pretty easily if you have some prot gear to stick on

Holy paladins can aoe tank relatively well and while I still takes them about 2-3 times to kill a mob compared to ret, they should be fighting 3-5 mobs using their aoe.

Resto druids can throw a Feral staff on, go cat form, use opener bleed, use normal bleed, use moon fire, back to cat form and keep dpsing, and kill things relatively quickly and have 0 downtime because they cast rejuv and keep going.

All healer classes have ways to farm. Stop trying to play a healer as a dps for farming and a lot of the issues go away.

Even resto shamans can aoe farm with grounding totem kiting, chain lightning, nova totem, exc.

And dual spec doesn’t force you into using dual spec, so what’s the problem?

Shocking, a hunter who raid logs doesn’t understand why a healer/tank might want a dps spec.

Except I don’t raid log and I played origional tbc with a resto druid. I have looked at guides for farming with every spec to find out which alt I wanted to level and settled on a paladin alt

Instead of complaining, I looked up information, found options to optimize every possible spec, exc.

I find it funny you like to make up these lies about me and constantly misrepresented my arguments because you have no facts to back your own views on, because it’s emotion based of “I want it” for dual spec.

Too bad for you you actually described how you play and yeah those 2-3 hours a week you’re not raiding must be so tough to do in raid spec, farming dailies in a hunter raid spec is the worst i hear.

So much worse than in a tank/heal spec. Or imagine the horror doing a few profession crafts in your raid spec, unbearable.

Hilarious people claim that your choices should mean something for your character whilst meta’ing all the bis info for gear lmao

Also if you’re already in a guild that doesn’t care if you use a decent spec now they won’t suddenly start caring is dual spec gets added.

Um, the minimum I play a week is 10 hours.

Before the nerfs raiding took 4-5 hours, now it takes maybe 3.

Even assuming we go by the old raid times (for when the new tier comes out) and at 5 hours max for the raid time, that’s still 5 hours of not raiding a week. Which is about double your 2-3 hours.

And thats the minimum time I do a week, doesn’t count my time spent crafting (as I do my crafting in 200+ crafts at a time) and I spend maybe 20 minutes a day farming or on the AH. So 20×7 140 minutes or for simplicity we will call it 2.5 hours (and assumes an extra 10 minutes).

So that’s 5 hours to raid, 2.5 hours to farming. So I have 2.5 hours of pvp, alt leveling, exc. A week, on my slow weeks.

That’s not raid logging even on my weeks I don’t play much.

You want to lie and call me a raid logger because it fits your agenda.

I typically farm in a pvp spec. Seeing as I am on a pvp server…

Keep making up lies though, you need to fit your agenda.

Oh so now it’s minimum, you really just can’t help but lie about the most basic of things can you.

Yes, I gave a description of how I am playing during the holiday season… when most people with lives play less. I also stated I don’t consider the crafting time spent as playing, yet somehow you are adding multiple hours from that to the playtime I listed (I do spend at about an hour a week crafting, but I don’t count it toward my played time because I am afk for most of it.)

But please keep up the lies to meet your agenda, keep telling me how I use my time.

After the holiday season I will likely be back to 20+ hours a week, but still.

I posted it during the holiday season.

The goal posts haven’t been moved, you also somehow keep taking over 2 hours off that 10 hours with no explanation of where they went. Pre nerf raids took my guild at most 5 hours, (now it’s maybe 3) so that’s 5 hours of raiding, and according to you I farm for 2-3 hours a week but we will assume 3 because that’s the high end of your assumptions. That’s 8 hours, so where did those other 2 go? (Closer to 5 now that the raids are nerfed)

But hay, keep up the lies to fit your agenda.
