I’d be very happy if the respec costs went to zero. I said that when I discussed it with Frosto. I could probably find the quote, it was in the topic with over 6k replies. That you’re pushing an idea that you don’t want just more convinces me that you are disingenuous. I’m now sure you’re not at all interested in any type of good faith discussion
I did not say that I didn’t want it. In fact, I’ve rarely held any positions in this thread beyond challenging false equivalence arguments. You’re projecting that opinion on me.
But if you’re okay with that, then that’s fine. I can respect that. But why aren’t you out there advocating for unlimited free respecs, then? Why are you stopping at dual spec, when it is a suboptimal solution to the problem?
Lots of people would buy the glaives off the cash shop if they were available there and sleep great at night. Why are we supposed to care about what you want again?
I guess you’re new to this discussion, so you wouldn’t know. Been down this road before.
I wouldn’t say no to unlimited specs. But it’d be a completely new feature, requiring actual new development work, as opposed to dual spec which is coming in wrath anyway, and most likely already implemented. Less of a stretch. Dual spec is also the minimum that solves my problem, so it seems like more of a likely thing to get if we ask.
Wrath didnt exist when TBC was out. Thats a really big assumption.
yeah kinda this tbh.
Why am i supposed to care what you do or don’t want, either? Apparently no one cared that a lot of us thought HvH bgs were a bad idea etc etc
and on it goes
I was dead set against HvH BGs and argued against them. You cant always get what you want. And?
Based on your perspective, why aren’t you making new threads to revert changes that have been made that are against a faithful recreation of tbc?
Can you please do that? You’re our only hope!
I asked you if you actually wanted it. Given that you didn’t answer that question and all your other posts on this topic it then seemed like a logical conclusion. I think playing devil’s advocate outside of an official debate is a form of lying. I actually told a friend that and ended the friendship.
Because dual spec is a known system that many people have played with and can relate to. It’s more likely to get the devs attention if most of us can unite behind a single idea.
Because what I personally want doesnt drive development. Thats not how this works.
and therefore what’s the point of stating it?
But apparently what some people want, such as those who wanted HvH and got their way, does. Soooo yeah. Hence we’re here.
You keep hanging your hat on HvH BGs and implied I was in favor of them like youre something special for having a different opinion.
I was correcting you.
Yes it’s amazing how a meaningful example of people getting a change they wanted is relevant, isn’t it.
Almost like something that could happen with dual spec. That’d we’d want to make a thread about.
Youre forgetting the part where Blizz agrees and does it. Big fly in your ointment.
Yall been whining for dual specs long before HvH BGs were even a thought in someones head.
That should tell you something.
This conversation has never been about what I want. It’s about what you - as the advocates for change - want. And it’s not about “playing devil’s advocate”. Teasing out “no” responses is an effective way to understand what a person actually wants by articulating their limits.
Which brings me back to how this started: your argument is, essentially, majority rule. It sounds like if you were arguing for what you thought was best for the game, you would be advocating for unlimited free respecs. But you know people won’t agree with you so you are compromising your best-case scenario for a solution that will garner the most support.
Which is fine.
It’s not. I don’t care about you. You’re a nobody. I’m not trying to convince you of anything. I’m here to bring up the issue for the devs. They asked for feedback for the changes players would like to see in BC. You should be making your arguments for the devs as to why it should not be added. You’re just here playing a game to see if you can “win.” I think that’s more proof of your dishonesty and lack of integrity.
I never said I thought it was best for the game. I just said I was fine with it. I actually prefer dual spec.
Hahahaha, oh goodness. I stopped reading there. Here I was thinking we’d finally understood one another but you just have to be a bitter, moralist contrarian.
Keep flexing on the WoW forums, old man.
What if what you wanted was echoed by a very large portion of the playerbase? Do you understand the definition of the word 'feedback?"
That is literally how this works. You should be creating posts left and right to get this iteration of TBCC reverted to its original, faithful recreation directive.
