yeah, everyone knows the true spirit of TBC is being locked into doing 1 thing and not being able to do anything else unless you cough up 100g for respec costs

I have made more friends already in TBC out of necessity than I did all of classic, and since wrath in retail. People need to wake up and stop trying to change the game, and try to make friends instead.
Adding people to your friendslist who you believe are good players and messaging them over-time does wonders to help make the gameplay process easier.
Tanked a dungeon for someone and he messaged me from an alt a week later asking me to tank Ring of Blood for him, and I did because he was polite and good at the game. Now he’s in one of our raid teams. THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE LIKE ME IN THE CLASSIC COMMUNITY MISSED ABOUT THE GAME.
He was a warrior, if dual spec existed I’m sure he would have never felt compelled to ask me for help. I have messaged other people asking them for help as well who I have a prior relationship with because players need one another to make the game easier. I can’t just do it all.

You meet other players to run dungeons with.
You meet other players to invite to guild and raid with.
You meet other players that can make the BiS chest piece you want.
I mean, if you want to play TBC as a solo centric game there is a version of it that already accommodates you.
You want to find a problem with every solution or opportunity offered to you, maybe this game isn’t what you want. There’s a version that you might enjoy better, since it already has the features you are asking for.

I don’t support a lower gold cap or faster decay for respecs. It’s supposed to be a gold sink. My guild has a social solution to that cost for our healers,we all put in a little gold to a pool for our healers and tanks. Even just doing the fishing daily and donating that gold, with every member doing it, covers the cost of our tanks and healers to each respec twice for 100g per week. We aren’t covering their respec costs daily, but we raid Tuesday Wednesday. If they want to be a dps to farm stuff the rest of the week, we provide that. Many of them don’t change specs to often because they like being able to tank and heal dungeons and not have to wait like many dps have to for a tank or healer.

I do group content all the time not only with my Guild but with those I’ve made friends with in my play.
Wanting to go farm leather solo like every DPS spec already can efficiently does not taint the purity of the game.

Then make a dps alt.
Or swap gear.
Or swap specs.
Or go play retail.

You once again fail to explain how lower costs would harm the game. Just saying “it’s a Gold sink” isn’t an answer.
Or lower the cost and/or make the decay happen faster.
Why make two games the same?
Let’s just shut down classic content since people don’t want it. Then everyone can be winners.
Everyone keeps playing TBC and refusing to play retail and whining about how TBC would be so much better if it had this or that like retail.

Good one good one. Anyways, about that tank of yours. It got me thinking…you can’t possibly be a feral since we don’t need to respec to farm, you can’t possibly be a prot pally since they’re farming and money making gods.
Your main must be an extremely geared and skillful prot warrior. Now, I won’t ask you to show him since it’s clear you’re shy (and that’s alright). What you’re gonna want to do is get a DPS set, and DW devastate. It’s quite good, give it a shot if you haven’t.
Now I can’t help you with tanking lol. But I’m sure you’ve already got that on lockdown

I mean, when I play my hunter I’m terrible at healing, I can hand you a potion, bandage you, and that’s about it. Opportunity costs is what make this game social. We group up and talk to each other because we have to, and it makes the game more fun in most cases.
If you find this to not be true, this is not the game for you, and that’s not a bad thing, it’s just your personal taste of games. The good news is wotlk classic will be much more designed to favor your anti social play style, or you could go to retail as well if where you don’t even have to ask to group, the game auto puts you in group and you won’t have to wait for wotlk classic. You have options, stop trying to take away one of the few games I have the option to not have those features in.
