No.
If you can’t stand playing in one spec or paying the cost for swapping, it’s probably best to just wait for Wrath.

But it doesn’t do that to any noticeable degree. The paladin change stopped many alliance paladins from going horde just to be competitive. Very few percentage wise will use dual spec to become a tank or healer, even fewer will stick with it as they will change out of it because aggro and healing are not as easy as they are in retail. It’s not the miracle fix your trying to paint it out to be.
Your opinion. My experience leads me to believe it has a noticeable effect in improving the time it takes to find a group.
I prefer to continue pushing for dual spec now on the forums.
I was using myself as an example but I am not the only case of a scenario. Also you calling it selfish to not want my entire playstyle destroyed just so you can save some gold?
And you are here on the forums clamoring for it, and they are not which shows which crowd you fall in. They however are also playing the game, and enjoying it just fine without dual spec so they feel no need to come on here and demand a change that is 100% unnecessary.
Private servers are 1000% better than this trash. Trust me, with the current blizzard dev team, this is just a bad private server. I’ve seen way more bugs and broken garbage that private servers at least try to fix.
I’ve had nightbane reset on us, tank get enfeeble’d on prince, mag blast wave back to back.
I fortunately haven’t seen the gruul door get locked.
The amount of bugs are what i’d expect from a private server. Hell, the “enter game” buttom from battlegrounds hasn’t worked since day 1 of classic. The UI will blame literally any addon you have installed as the reason.
If that was true why did blizzard also chose to add lfd after? And then bonus rewards for tanks and healers after that? And make heroics shorter and easier so tanks could rejoin the que faster? And making respecting between your 3 (4 for druid) specs even easier with no replacing needed as you could change specializations on the fly and have those talents change with it based on specalozation chosen.
Simple, because while these changes and dual spec may have made a difference for a short time after being released, most of their impact wore off as the novelty of them faded and people went back to chosing not to tank. Dual spec did make more tanks, until most of the people who used it to second spec tank decided being a tank wasn’t worth it and went back to being a dps with a pvp talent set instead. Your miracle fix is not as good as you would have others believe. Dual spec was the first change blizzard made to try and improve the number of tanks, proof that it didn’t have a meaningful impact is the fact they added so many other changes as time went on to address the same issue.
You also forgot the over simplification of tanking and healing gear so you could just “switch specs” and instantly have a set of gear in hopes to encourage players to take on the role as gear was no longer an excuse. At this point I’m just waiting for Blizzard to add a full on invincibility button for tanks and a one button skill for priests that shields everyone and deals billions of damage to mobs. Sad thing is, these could exist and people still won’t tank or heal, yet Blizzard is supposed to magically have a solution.
Yep, the tank shortage is a social issue, not something blizzard needs to fix. Talking Talking to people can find you tanks, making friends with them can keep you with easy access to tanks.
Tank shortage will not be completely solved by this, just because being a tank in TBC is really not fun at all with the amount of people don’t understand to build aggro in TBC is slow, many DPS skills generate a lot of aggro, and people should give tanks the time to build aggro before they start attacking.
But it should at least help. And REGARDLESS of if is going to help or not, Double Spec should be introduced for the simply reason that IT IS A GOOD THING, it provides a BETTER USER EXPERIENCE, and this should end any non-sense argument / discussion, period.
Throwing my vote in too. Dual spec is not harmful to the TBC experience, and will actually improve it. There are many features people can point to and blame for the current state of retail - and Dual Spec is NOT one of them.
It lets healing specs and warrior tanks level reasonably outside of dungeons. It lets DPS switch to more critically needed roles for group content. Specifically it increases simultaneously both the quantity and quality of group content, as well as closes the gap with healer/tank availability.
Bring dual spec to TBCC (even Classic-Vanilla can make use of it). It’ s not something we should wait another 2 years to get.
private servers are illegal
Seeing a lot of forum alts in here lol 4 total posts 3 total posts, hmmm lol.
if you honestly think this, you don’t know what you’re talking about
Since Nixon and probably before every politician believed the silent majority supported their ideas. But people stay silent for many reasons. I don’t know what all the people playing the game want. They may be wishing that they could dual spec every day they play. You have no idea they’re enjoying it fine. They might be disappointed but playing the game anyway since even without dual spec it’s ok. You make a big show of criticizing faulty polls and then turn and make the same faulty assumptions in favor of you’re opinions. No one knows what the silent majority of players want.
They stay silent because it isn’t a deal breaker. You taking a feature in a video game and comparing it to politics is a huge stretch here. If you want something, advocate for it. I tell you what, why don’t you go to each server and spam the link to this exact thread and we’ll see how many people come in here advocating for it to support you.
You don’t need to make excuses for everyone else. We get it, you want it. But to the vast majority of the player base this is NOT a deal breaker to their experience of Classic TBC that they have to come in here sobbing and begging for Blizzard to please think of their gaming experience because they are afraid of the big bad respec price.
dude.
it’s a game.
it’s a CLASSIC version of a game.
it doesn’t need any big changes like dual spec.
and yes, dual spec is a big change, not a teensie weensie one.
just. stop.
Sadly they strike me as someone who would fire up Super Mario 3 and then write a sternly worded letter to Nintendo about why it needs to be like New Super Mario Brothers and it absolutely ruins their game experience when Mario 3 is infact Mario 3 and not NSMB though they believe it should be.
