I don’t know it worked for the same faction battlegrounds and technically that didn’t come out till mop.
So no we’re not going to stop and I’m not going to stop because I think dual spec would be Is better for the game and so would a ton of others concerning this form has over 3000 comments that should tell you that.
Except if you look at the OP it only has about 200~ likes. So really only 200 people agree and theres a small people arguing back and fourth on whether or not the feature should be added
In other news
Classic has gear and retail has gear = you hate classic
Classic is an MMO and retail is an MMO so you hate classic
Retail is a computer game I guess you hate computer games
Well one Like it or not it’s an argument that’s going to keep happening over and over again till 1 of 2 things happened either one it gets put in.
Or 2 wrath Well technically or 3 blizzard gets shut down But that’s not here or there Or hack they could even try putting on the ptr due try.
Or one person had another interesting suggestion I would be OK with blizzard doing it The only problem would be any server without it would just probably transfer over to those that don’t.
Let it be to a vote per server Do you want dual speck on your server vote on it Those servers that don’t win the vote they don’t get dual speck and the ones that do do.
Yes I’m completely aware of white blizzard would never do it Still though it would probably be the best solution
Your entire argument was that everyone got some kind of source of healing… as if that is self-evident of anything other than healing being spread around. Classes all deal damage as well, is THAT homogenization too?
The relevance is that classes can keep their identities while getting their own flavor of offensive, defensive, and utility/support skills that go with the flavor of their spec/class. WoW Classes are very generalized themes, there is naturally going to be a huge amount of role overlap. That’s not the same thing as homogenization.
You keep relying on buzzwords that don’t mean anything outside of the narrow circle of people who already vapidly agree with you.
See above.
Most of these aren’t Arcane specs… bwahahahah WHAT?!
I’m not a RESTO spec by having lots of points sunk into Restoration as a Feral Druid.
Thunderclap produces hardly any substantial threat, is on the spell hit table, and scales with nothing.
Demo is also entirely unnecessary for most content since nothing hits that hard to warrant wasting the GCD or Rage. Commanding and Battle Shout are both 3 min with the appropriate talent, otherwise 2 min, and they’re buffs, and they’re not something you need to stress over mid-pull in most content since min/max DPS is hardly required to get through even “hard” raid content in TBCC, let alone the rest of it.
Heroic Strike
Revenge
Shield Slam
Shield Block
Devastate (if no Imp. Expose)
You may be responsible for Demo Shout if you don’t have an Arms Warrior doing that for you already, along with Thunderclap.
Shouts are group dependent but a Commanding Shout once every 3 min is hardly anything to stress over, especially since if you’re not Devastate spamming you have quite a few free GCDs.
The rest of your toolkit is often made entirely superfluous by raiding content. You exercise your Taunt, Intervene, Charge, and Intercept skills far more in a 5man than you ever do in a Raid, simply because most stuff isn’t kited around or moved or swapped. So a minority of situations in a drastic minority of content that actually challenges people allows for a few key opportunities to shine…
But that’s about as often as Feral powershifting while Tanking (not while DPSing) actually matters, and that’s a single key press of a macro that requires no thinking.
Like I said… this is major coping because you don’t understand anything post-Cata regarding Tanking and mistake having the ability to fill your bars with a lot of different “situational” skills is the same thing as having a deep and meaningful class.
No because classes have to do damage otherwise you cant do anything
I quoted your section in regards to rogues not having 4-5 viable specs. Keep up kid
Weird every raid ive been in since classic had me using it as a dps war for the tanks because stuff hits hard
But you can only use one at a time so Shout not SHOUTS
Correct
So you never need to use taunt?
you never need to switch stance to use mocking blow if a taunt gets resisted?
you never have to use challenging shout?
No shield wall?
You dont charge in?
No changing stances?
And I would argue the game is grindy enough you’re still going to need to farm for consumers for raids and for anything else you need and for epic flying by the way.
That 100 gold reeds speck all it’s going to do is then gate people for mine to try anything different it’s all it’s gonna do I talk to several people.
On my server and I have yet to meet one person that has ever said to me oh no I would absolutely hate dual speck and completely destroys the game.
Despite This dull speck or not the game is still plenty grindy regardless There doesn’t need to be the added grind of pain to respect when you want to do anything different.
OK one you’re not always going to get the charge 2 the only 1 I’ll give you is taunt stands dancing you’re probably not going to have the rage to do 90% of the time so you’re probably just going to stuck in defensive.
And as for the other abilities you mentioned those aren’t abilities that you’re going to use in your average taking rotation those are oh crap something’s gone wrong I’m gonna have to use them that’s why they’re called cool Downs.
Both of these are just you making arbitrary distinctions. What if Warriors really did need baked in Healing to work… is that no longer homogenization? You keep asserting your personal aesthetics and it doesn’t work.
Oh FFS… are you really going to act like these specs differed hardly at all when all they did was take advantage of different weapon types? Really?
Such variation. Much interesting. You went from Combat Swords to Combat Daggers. Oh my.
LOL
You keep talking about majority content, then try to cite SPECIFICS in only a select few RAIDS, which are not the majority of content. Pick one or the other.
…okay?
In raids? Not really.
In 5mans? Sometimes.
But I said this, and now you’re just being intentionally obtuse.
Entirely wasted effort in the few instances it works since Mocking Blow isn’t a true Taunt and if you’re trying to save a dumb DPS you’re not going to keep the mob.
Protadins make this superflous, and not in raids no, which is what we’re talking about.
If you’re popping Shield Wall something went wrong and you’re probably about to die anyway the next time the very same thing happens… in about 10-15 sec. TBCC isn’t a CD centric expansion, that’s Wrath and Cata.
You don’t Deathgrip on a DK? Remember this started because you completely ignored most of a DK’s toolkit to talk about utility skills…
And you don’t need to Charge for a variety of reasons since it is just Rage. TBCC bosses give Rage in spades.
Why? Hardly anything Fears and the few things that do don’t matter since we have Tremor Totems and Fear Ward for the Tanks that don’t care.
…you didn’t answer the question, you just whinged.
See: People that play Healers and Tanks.
Oh noes. You take THIS set of crit talents that don’t change how you play over THAT set of damage talents that don’t change how you play.
You’re literally ruining your own idiotic point about talent trees. All of those Rogue specs only differentiated based on weapon and passive damage talents, not play. You swapped Sinister Strike with Backstab if you used Daggers, but otherwise you played exactly the same.
This is true of all the supposed Mage variations where no matter what you want to talk about in Vanilla, you were either chain casting Fireball or chain casting Frostbolt. There wasn’t even a valid Arcane spec since Arcane Missiles were garbage so the tree was purely passive damage and utility.
Sub rogues actually use a lot of bleeds vs burst damage finishers
Combat rogues can actually sit in a fit against an enemy with ad rush on
Dagger rogues rely on kiting more and waiting for energy for stuns so they can backstab.
But yeah i guess just exactly the same only different weapons
And yet play massive amounts of the game without doing any, or sufficient to count for anything.
…no, not in Vanilla, not with limited debuff slots. Or are you mixing and matching what we’re talking about again to try to win the debate point by ignoring what was actually said…
Yup. You’re now talking about soloing which has nothing to do with what “viable DPS” actually means…
