Dual Spec is Now Available on Anniversary Realms

For a feature unlocked at level 40 … where does a level 60 dungeon run come in?

For those of us who don’t screw over others by AH flipping getting 150g at 40 for both this and a mount isn’t trivial

well 50g isnt that much , but it sucks that at 40 u need gold for mount too :frowning:

I still think that level 40 is too late. It should come with level 30, when we start with the more challanging dungeons in WOW.

Having a dedicated healer or tank does wonders there.

They should add WoW tokens in then. Give all those hunter bots a reason to be there. We don’t want them to waste their time and do all the farming for nothing.

Should be 100g. Dual-spec is a privilege that must be earned, just like leveling.

I’m surprised it is so “easy” to get. Sure, it might not be an instant purchase at level 40 on your first character as your mount will take priority. You really don’t need it at 40 as you’re just leveling away. Plus, you can have another 50g by level 50 easy. What dungeons are you not dual specced for, ZF and mara? Meh.

It is absolutely nothing for any alts going forward though.

:poop: :poop:

trash tier company.

You specifically wanted it at main cities at a trainer, not any rested area in the world.

You said that a thousand times.

You lose again.

Good change Bliz, keep up the good work!

Sweet!

Any chance we’re going to see a hotfix for the Minor Wizard Oil Formula? I’m assuming it got removed on accident since it was taken out of SOD?

It’s kind of a bummer since, I literally leveled enchanting specifically to make oils for my casters. <3

Oh not its another person who thinks gold buying is the fault of things costing gold in game. Should the game have nothing to achieve and strive for? Lmao such bad taste and illogical thought that plague this game.

You know you don’t have to buy it at level 40, right?

I’m trying to figure out the logic of this statement. If things didn’t cost gold, then obviously there wouldn’t be gold buying. So yes…things costing gold is why people buy gold. That’s just kinda how it works.

As far as dual spec…this is something that didn’t exist in the first place. So it’s an extra gold sink. Now, if you don’t have this then players these days will just pay to respec several times a week. And they’ll do it by buying gold. That’s simply how the playerbase is now. They’ll swipe a card to remove any inconvenience.

Gold sinks were a lot more effective 20 years ago when the playerbase was radically different and mostly casual. They didn’t min/max every little thing out of the game, and wouldn’t pay real money just to be able to respec over and over. Sure, those tryhard players existed, but they were very rare. These days it’s like 95% of the playerbase. They will buy gold to avert any kind of inconvenience. And Blizz has proven…either they are unable or unwililng to address it.

All of that to say making it 50g is a good idea. If they make it a massive gold sink, then casuals won’t ever afford it and hardcore will just buy gold to pay it (which in the end will be a lot cheaper than continually buying gold to pay for constant respecs).

So it seems to me what is upsetting some people is elitists angry that everyone will have access to this feature. They seem to hate it any time they can’t get a massive advantage over the average scrub. I don’t think dual spec should be in Vanilla content to begin with, but if it is…this is the way to do it.

no it isn’t… it replaces constant respeccing, so in the long run it is very much less of a gold sink than what we used to have :expressionless:

Maybe you should keep reading.

Thinking gold buyers are buying gold because they can’t afford a respec and not because they’re already willing to buy gold is silly. Should we make mounts free then? What about training spells?

Never heard of someone buying gold to pay for their respecs lmfao. It seems like a self report.

I think you dropped your Strawman. Who is asking for mounts to be free?

it’s called a slippery slope :expressionless: you better believe these people will be begging for epic mount cost reduction.

They are acting like it is difficult because you can’t both level AND make lots gold at the same time. You have to choose one or the other. If you are leveling and just hitting a capital when bags are full to put stuff on the AH, and you leave, at least half of your stuff will get undercut when you check on it.

People who make “hundreds of gold before 40” aren’t out in the world questing and leveling or running dungeons. They are parked in the capital, playing the AH.

So yes, if your game is “play wow to make gold”, you can do that. If your game is, log on to quest and run dungeons, you won’t have enough gold for your mount until near level 45. Later if you decide to buy Dual Spec first.
