It was a hypothetical on how it SHOULD be implemented, and you came in not knowing what you’re talking about because you’re a deranged grey parsing troll.
I am not suggesting that it will lead to other requests. So this is a strawman. However, there are plenty of suggested changes, and this is one of them.
In classic, I can decide to make a pvp specialized character, and then have an advantage against those who wanted to make a raid specialized character, and then hop in a BG. It also works vice versa. For those that prefer raiding, they can make a raid specialized character, and beat me in parses when I raid.
That’s a big part of the classic experience. It is the opposite of homogenization. Eliminating it is just a step of homogenization.
This is only one factor. Dual spec also encourages the parsing resume mandates in public pugs that has become a plague on classic culture.
The only people suggesting all this are tourists who just want to play a fresh wow launch and want to impart aspects of things they like to era. This is nothing new. We’ve seen it before. And you will be onto the next big thing when that happens, leaving the ashes of what was era in your wake.

Cezar nailed it earlier in the thread when he said the problem was the players that wanted it, there is no problem with Era itself.
Luckily its their problem and the problem of not liking Era isn’t a good reason to change Era. Blizz couldn’t be that stupid. Consensus never proved anything except the majority is always wrong.
If they want to put it on the fresh servers, have at it. Leave Era alone. Not everyone hates it like the convenience and ease loving QoL crowd.
