If dual spec is game changing then so is this, because it changes the “gameplay” of having to go back to Stormwind to manage your bank and inventory

This is such a weird hill for people to die on.
There was never an issue with dual spec when it was introduced. The argument that it will prevent people from doing meme or hybrid specs is dumb when raids at this point won’t accept them.

“raids won’t accept them” gives away your whole retail attitude… nobody cares if your try hard sweat guilds won’t accept someone with a hybrid spec. if you’re so dang good at the game, mr. sweaty, you can learn how to farm gold and pay the 50g per respec

Dual spec shouldn’t even be looked at as a qol. It is a community benefit.
- It will ensure phase drop offs are much smaller. Data shows in 2019 - 2021 each drop off was a majority of hybrids.
- It will keep the world more populated with diverse classes, encouraging more hybrid players. This is exactly what us vanilla players saw in the world. Thus helping drive the vanilla like experience.
Being against dual spec is basically pushing for dead servers by AQ.

40 man raids are hard to fill, especially as a pug. One doesn’t have the convenience of waiting for perfect builds. But with dual spec, it would enable this dynamic. The content is easy enough for pretty much any build. Pug raids look to fill class needs in vanilla. Dual specs would just lead to kicking anyone without meta specs since meta specs would be extremely easy to find.
Meta always goes the path of least resistance. Dual spec alleviates resistance to cookie cutter parser culture demands. So it is the wrong route to go.

The disconnect here is that you seem to think killing a boss in 30.05 seconds vs. 30 seconds is a form of griefing. This is the mentality that vanilla exclusive players want to keep from destroying the culture.
It’s ok to have ideas you like that you think would improve the game. But that’s what the classic+ discussion is for. Not an era fresh.

You calling it a “waiting room” for the stupid flight simulator expac known as TBC is intended to be derogatory, as if nobody actually enjoys classic era fresh. When in reality, that is the ONLY classic experience a significant number of people enjoy. the only thing holding up things like SoD and the “classic expansions” is retail tourists looking for something to do because retail is boring. you will get your terrible TBC. in a year (or more). have fun waiting.

The nature of hybrid builds in vanilla is the big reason why dual spec is a QoL change. Theres many variables in how people want to tackle class roles and PVE vs PvP that just having a least just a tiny bit of flexibility makes the game more fun. Which is ultimately what this is about.

QoL can make people happy or not.

if you want dual spec, as well as a bunch of other terrible changes for classic, you can play SoD it’s right there for you.
