This is by far the stupidest argument those against dual spec make. There are dozens of changes in retail. Asking for one doesn’t mean I want or like them all. It would be like telling anyone who complains about a single change in BC to quit. Simple minds generally can’t handle complex situations or ideas with the nuance they require.
Why is it a stupid argument,
The game you are asking to play currently exists. Why aren’t you playing it? That is a fair and valid question.
I want LFR but not dual-spec why is this any less of a valid preposition. It has all of the exact same benefits that dual-spec does. Less friction from me enjoying the content that I enjoy.
Again, why even have spec’s at all? Your argument for dual-spec is proof that their is value in that choice and you want to lessen the value of that choice because you have a mental health issue with optimization you need a psychologist and not a developer. You should be arguing for no specialization at all if you want your view to be consistent with your reality.
A fact simili to your dual-spec argument is arguing to ban “Assault” weapons when handguns kill more people every year than “Assault” weapons. Your argument is in-congruent with reality, your argument would only make sense if you were arguing for all “weapons” to be banned. That is an argument that is consistent with reality.
I get that you didn’t learn in elementary school to comprehend what you read. If the only change in retail was dual spec I would be playing it. But
Then you should be playing retail.
Oh jeez. Another fool who things a discussion about a game is akin to some partisan political argument.
I am not making a political argument I’m pointing out bad argumentation.
You are making bad argumentation. Try making good argumentation, Why should we have specs at all? Make the argument that dual-spec is better than no spec.
You will find you can not make any point in favor of (dual-spec vs no spec) that does not also exist between (Single-spec vs dual-spec).
- This should tell you that you are arguing from a point of ignorance, arrogance, or selfishness.
About 70% of TBC population are warlocks.
I don’t think people actually want to have sl/sl warlocks in every pvp situation.
Okay here is how this works. Again if a company sends out 100k sample pool for the vote and only 50k of us actually do it, it is still an accurate 1:1 vote. The sample size has changed. There are absolutely no bots voting 19 times. They are not situations where one person can get 40 votes, it is a 1:1 which is extremely accurate in representation.
I am in multiple studies for diabetes where myself and all who attend are given a survey to fill out during the program. We have over 100 alone in the area I attend for these studies and they are done all over the US. That is a 100% 1:1 accurate polling process. You see these actually sited and published the world over as credible sources.
If you are so “credible” I am asking of you what anyone else would. A college term paper will require sources that are credible. I write up business reports and such at work that require me to have credible sources that are sited. Your little “They could be bots, they could not. It’s 100% anonymous.” poll by streamers and random websites are not credible. So again, where are your credible sources?
Strawman Fallacy,
Just because the game has two competitive modes, and players are asking for the ability to be competitive in both. Does not mean players are asking for every talent of every spec all of the time.
Keep in mind this issue was addressed and fixed a year later, we just asking for blizzard to use some of that insight and apply it earlier this time around.
Not a strawman at all. You clearly don’t understand what is, and isn’t, a fallacy. I want to be able to pvp as frost against melee, aoe farm as frost, pvp as fire when I play against casters, Arcane for raids. I’m not implying you are asking for this, I am asking for it and asking you to point out the differences in what we are asking for.
-
The strawman; I want every talent of every spec all of the time. Edited; This is a real strawman because this isn’t what you are asking for.
-
The real argument; I want to be able to swap my spec whenever I want to be optimized for the situation I find myself in. Why can’t I have that?
It’s almost as if, you are not supposed to be able to do that in the original design of the game.
Go play retail, or wait for wrath.
Note: Had to edit this because I actually caught myself making a real straw man and bad argumentation.
So you are asking for something that isn’t dual spec, and that no one else is asking for. Then arguing against that point instead of arguing against dual spec?
its interesting how you pulled the exact quote that specifically is worded to be not about you. You’re pretty vain aren’t you?
an intelligent player would mix things up if he got bored, he’d level an alt, he’d work on his professions for alittle bit, he’d do a battleground while leveling (although that’s a meme at this point as nobody wants to do those due to the plague of zoomers infesting the game, its endgame pvp or bust for most pvpers sadly.).
I am not telling you im good at the game, and probably much better than you to stroke my ego, its simple fact, i explained this because i was giving a viable real world example of why LFG is bad, i’d get grouped with players like you who would negatively impact my playing experience, i’d rather have good players with good reps in game come to ME to form groups and have smooth, quick and fun runs.
Group finder is cancer, and you need to go back to retail if you like it soo much, i hope they never introduce it into the classic series of expansions.
LOL what?
What differentiated WOW from EQ was the ability to level to cap solo and do most open world stuff without a group.
