Dual Spec addition discussion

Agreed, quick search reveals polls are about 80/20 in favor of Dual Spec from multiple data sources.

Unless every single person is polled directly by Blizzard, you canā€™t use an outside source for things like that as definitive proof. Even if 100k people filled it out, they still are not all of us. People are content and happy with things just so happen to play the game and not complain on the forums. Those on here posting this are the vocal minority.

Those on here posting are the vocal minority. For and against. But the polls from multiple sources are the most accurate.

And what proof do you actually have of that may I ask? What official source do you have that these were 1 for 1 votes and not polling bots where people can easily click a button to vote multiple times as we witnessed with the awful mount contest Blizzard put together? I donā€™t want your word for it on how accurate it is. I need factual evidence it was a one for one representation. I can tell you now, I have not voted in a single poll from Blizzard or anyone else. Iā€™m sorry, but you are over representing yourselves.

We arenā€™t and blizzard knows it. Which is why when they finally got around to implementing it to fix the issue it was widely accepted.

Again I need 100% evidence of this. You canā€™t spout because you see it or feel it that itā€™s fact and truth. If you want to make such wild claims I want actual proof of it. How do you know it was widely received as a ā€œYay I get to do this now!ā€ vs ā€œGreat, now to be competitive I have to do this now?ā€ So again, Iā€™d like proof.

There is nothing wild, there is a reason once the problem was fixed it was never removed, or why this forum is flooding with posts about it.

It is reduced VS in TBC due to inflation of gold in game; in ā€œVanillaā€ 50 gold was a hefty price for someā€¦

In TBC Classic 50 gold is like 5 silver in Classic vanilla.

Great if its so insignificant charge 1000g for dual spec and then stop punishing the Arena Community.

False. There are some things that once implemented you just canā€™t remove due to it being used. Again, you do very much have something to prove. We paid gold for it, further adding to it being something you just canā€™t remove without backlash. And it very well could be argued it was unsuccessful as they dropped the cost to 10g one expansion later to get more people to use it. So unless you have absolute proof of what you are claiming, then there is enough reasonable doubt that is contrary to your claims. So where are these sources?

So in other words you not wanting to farm 200g a week is more important that dislike of dual spec by majority of tanks and healers. Fair enough. As for it was bad decision and they fixed it well there is a version of the game where it is fixed.

There is no discussion. Youā€™re not getting it. Didnā€™t happen in Classic vanilla, not going to happen in Classic TBC. Your frustrations are answered in later additions to the gameā€¦which we now call Retail.

Literally take your own advice and search, it is in another post on this forum, which is what I thought you were referring to when you made that comment in the first place.

I did and itā€™s the same 20 people over and over again in an echo chamber. The same limited number of people on the forums that isnā€™t even a drop in the bucket of total players. So, still waiting for those sources. You are able to concede at any point. Your gut feelings and 20 people do not make a credible source. Are you going to contribute or just be part of that little echo chamber? You do realize Blizzard will be more inclined to take anyone seriously who can provide this information you claim is so simple to find.

Dual spec doesnā€™t exist in Retail and it fixed a problem that existed in original TBC for the Arena Community, it just took blizzard a year to develop. Also the discussion very much exists that we shouldnā€™t wait a year for Classic LK to enjoy it.

Incorrect. It didnā€™t fix anything in TBC. It came around in WotLK AFTER TBC existed. Are you suggesting that WotLK is nothing more than a fix to TBC? Cata is a fix to WotLK?

Of course not. Expansions donā€™t fix issues, they change and reinvent gameplay. Calling Dual spec an addition to fix Vanilla/TBCā€¦thatā€™s just silly.

Again canā€™t tell if youā€™re talking about the people for or againstā€¦ But truthfully if you are talking about this forum then its actually both.

And what Iā€™m telling you is your ā€œsourceā€ of the forums is not credible or else Blizzard clearly would have snapped their fingers and gave it to you. You claim there is absolute, 100% irrefutable, overwhelming proof that Dual Spec in itā€™s inception was received to critical acclaim. You also talk about outside polls, so where is Blizzards? Where is a 1:1 on votes where every active player was polled only once for a response to have a 100% untainted pool of votes for your source?

Uhhh no, are you creating fake arguments because they are easier to rebuttle? Donā€™t misinterpret people on purpose for the sake of an argument. It just makes you look bad.

Again itā€™s more likely you are playing dumb for the sake of argument than that you donā€™t actually know the issue it fixes.

No, Iā€™m not the moron who thinks Dual Spec existing in WotLK had anything to do with what was going on in TBC.
