Drum fix? ReAlLy? O.o

Classic was a game of who could gather the most buffs… TBC will be the same with this. If you don’t have drums you won’t compete.

Post this datamine info because I’m not seeing it anywhere.

it’s on reddit, go find it

Link or go away with your gibbering silliness.

I think this is the thread he’s talking about

Hey now, that Gold isn’t going to sell itself. Botters might disappear if min maxxers don’t have a reason to purchase extremely expensive greater drums, you know.

Streamers confirmed in the beta that the data mine is accurate… Can we be outraged now? This is FAR FAR from what was promised!

This is exactly what was promised. These seem to be raid wide drums, meaning you only need 4 lws in the raid to keep uptime. Maybe 8 if your super sweaty and worried you might lose some to death.

The tooltip on both say “party members” the original drums were lowered to LW 350 and now only reach 8y while the new ones require 375 and reach 40y. They are not raid wide at this time.

I havent seen any actual screenshots of that, just the datamined names. Assuming this is factual, its either a mistake in the tooltip or since they havent actually been used, we cant see the debuff it could theoretically apply yet. There is literally 0 reason for Blizzard to go back on a popular change everyone supported

Its been shown on stream multiple times… guess we will see later when someone actually tests them but I have zero confidence in blizz doing this right

Here we go, expensive to make… single charge… it’s flask of distilled wisdom on steroids. I feel bad for all the feral tanks that won’t be able to afford their prebis! Another expansion slaving to a meta and no bag space. Way to go blizzard, you took cancer and added aids to it!

Naw, as this doesn’t actually do what they said they wanted it to do: lessen the reliance upon everyone being a LW. The only way they could do that was to make the drums accessible to everyone in some way (remove requirement, make raid-wide, make duration longer, etc) or just straight up nerf them.

With a 2nd level of drums it would seem we’re going for the former, and that the party-limitation is likely a copy-paste error or similar. There are LOTS of display bugs that don’t actually align with the tool tip information (see the list of known bugs on the Beta forum) so until someone gets them, makes them, and tests them, we don’t know for sure.

All we can do is submit a bug report that the Greater Drums of Battle don’t appear to be correctly described or working as intended. There’s no reason to freak out over anything, Beta testers just need to their job as Beta testers and submit reports.

The single charge thing has already been shown to be a display error. Freak out less little one.

iOS? IOS? No wonder you. . .

Oh. . wait. .

Hey man, thanks for the link.

Yeah this isn’t much of a solution at all lmao

Outraged? Thats a little over the top. BUT, it is appropriate to raise the question. Perhaps with good feedback (not the sky is falling kind) some changes will be made. After all, it is beta and things are subject to change.

i am too old to be outraged. especially over a video game.

looks like the developers’ gold selling nephews got to them

I will agree this is not affects completely however let’s remember Beta just literally launched to day.

And I’m sure if we talk about this enough and say Hey this isn’t good enough I would just say just get rid of the leather working requirement it simple.

Because apparently to everybody else they are listening but all we can do is keep talking about in hope that they are

I mean I’m hoping they just outright nerf them. It’s not a fun mechanic, and it’s worse in every way than WBs. Obviously datamining isn’t accurate, but adding the original version as more powerful is… well, frustrating. So we’ll just have to wait how beta turns out.
