Druids should be able to fly in dragon isles with a flight form that dragon ride mechanics

I covered this in another thread actually…

"The wrong way to pick flowers, yes there is a wrong way, it’s my way…

Spot node on map
land near node
pick flower
bolt off to next node
repeat

the right way,
Attain “hunting” altitude.
Spot node on map
ascend to greater altitude
Spiral downwards as an eagle hunting prey
hit the air brake above node sending all the lesser critters scrambling for their lives
slam onto ground near node dusting up the area as a thundering ripple rolls thru out the lands.

/y
“Behold!! For I, Gelyn, shall harverst the bounty of this land!!”

pick flower

wait for a few moments so that others may marvel in awe at the triumphant deed that has transpired before them.

Perform spectacular ascent into the air.

idk, like I said before. Seems a bit overly dramatic just to pick flowers."

I agree, one is not a replacement for the other, can’ wait for regular(static) flying to come back. I do believe node density will be reduced to account for the increase efficiency though. I’m okay with that personally.

Any idea if the new flight form from the next raid will be a dragonriding form or just a static flight.

The mount has dragonriding mechanics, but no news if druids who have that form unlocked could dragonride.

(I have the new owl form unlocked in PTR but different color, and currently cannot dragonride with the form sadly)

Guess it’ll remain a static flight then, weird choice to give them a DR capable form but make it static.

Will have to wait and see I guess.

Both should be able to.

I want flight form to be useful again. It’s one of the most meaningful things about playing a druid. It’s never been less useful, and I want that to change.

Instant cast flying has been a core part of what it means to be a druid for so long as flying has existed.

This is tragic.
