If druid’s are immune to hamstring and fears when they’re doing their rush thing what AREN’T they immune to CC wise?
10 char
The one thing they aren’t immune to is fear.
I think for 10.0 it’s probably worth taking a look at shape-shifting immuning polymorph effects and trivialize roots/snares
Your opinion is trash.
The only thing druids are immune to is poly while in form.
They can shift out of roots and snares and that will never change.
ignoring all the times it has changed
go on…

Nah who am I kidding. Youre incapable of backing up your ignorant comments.
Allow me.

[Patch 0.12] (2004-10-11):
- Shapeshifting now breaks roots, snares, and freeze effects.
- Shapeshift forms now include an immunity to polymorph effects.
Has been that way since 2004.
And waht happened in Cataclysm

Shapeshifts: Entering or leaving a shapeshift no longer cancels root effects. It continues to cancel movement slowing effects.
Blue post discussing that change.
Hi everybody,
Here is a little feedback regarding the Druid changes currently being tested on the PTR, but first we would like to remind everybody that nothing has yet been set in stone… It is a test realm after all.
As you may have heard before, we are moving away from PvP based on hard counters, where one class can be completely immune to the control mechanics of another class. Because Druids were so very capable of avoiding control mechanics of other classes, Druids never had a great need of additional support from any other classes.
We realise that this change (if it makes it all the way to live realms) will have a great impact on the Druid class, so to compensate we have added additional damage output, which Feral Druids in particular will benefit from. We also realise that Balance Druids and Restoration Druids may not be compensated enough from this change as it is right now, so we are looking into ways of compensating these specs as well.
Again, please keep in mind that what is being tested on the PTR will not necessarily make it to live realms. If we find that a change does not work the way we want it to, then we will either revert the change or try something different.
We encourage everyone to test things out on the PTR and we will be grateful if you will also post feedback about your experiences there. The more constructive feedback we get on changes like these from people who have tried and tested them, the better we can make adjustments or further changes.
Clearly that change was reverted.
which is why…
It made it live for almost the entire expansion. It wasn’t reverted until mop pre-patch.
And that isn’t what matters. Call it pedantic but you specifically said
Uh my friend? It changed. It’s not opinions It’s just flat out you being incorrect and I have an actual blue post contradicting you.
Sure. I guess.
If you need those small victories to feel better about your trash opinions, ill concede.
Shapeshifting temporarily could not cancel some root effects. However, it was collectively agreed upon that such a change was TRASH and quickly reverted, continuing the status quo.
None of that is really relevant though, since OP is referring to druids and their interaction with hamstring.
I’m a horrible PvP player but I “think” druids are not immune to: stuns, fears, seduce (warlock pet), whatever typhoon is catagorized as, poly (in “humanoid” form). In fact, aren’t druids only unique in their ability to get out of roots and snares on a GBC bound shift ability with some few exceptions?
Druids can be hit with Hibernate as Feral and Guardian fall under “animal” tags as well
An entire expansion – “temporary”
An entire expansion – “quickly reverted”
Anyway, back to ignoring the ignorant tical
I thought that was true, but wasn’t clear. So boomkin is the best form to avoid CC then?
Isn’t an entire expansion about 10% of this game’s lifespan?
This is what frustrates me.
Hibernate works on beasts. Any beast can be hibernated.
Polymorph also works on beasts. Any beast can be polmorphed… except druids.
The inconsistency between those is silly. They’re the same DR, the same cc category, say they work on the same things, but druids just get immunity to one
It’s not entirely inconsistent.
There’s a double check for poly. Beast + Druid.
Poly works on beast, check one for Druid. But poly does not work on Druid in form. No check.
Druid as a class is not subject to beast. Druid in form = beast. Druid in form = immune to poly.
It’s like interruptible spells. Spells are interruptible by nature. But just because it’s a spell and being casted, doesn’t mean it’s always interruptible (boss abilities for example)
not according to the tooltips. i get thats how it works, but thats not how the game says it works.
im not even advocating for that to change, but a tooltip adjustment would be beneficial for people who havent beeen playing for a decade.
