Druid speed stacking

Travel form + pvp set bonus + boots enchant = 163% run speed? Or is this just a private server thing? Does the boot enchant stack?

Druid travel form is 40% speed + 15% from the PVP set + boot speed which is 8% I think. So 40 + 15 + 8 = 63%. So I think you just added a 1 by mistake.

Technically 163% is correct because 100% is normal so the bonuses are added onto that

As far as I’ve seen on pserver (done the testing on one), boots enchant don’t even stack with anything, might be different on classic tho

Back in Vanilla it didn’t stack with other movement enhancing effects.

What was the point of the op? Trying to say that druids are potentially broken? If so, I disagree. If not pay no mind to the following I guess. That speed is just a druid perk. But I’m biased I guess, maining a druid after all.

All the classes have perks that could be called broken by the other classes lol. At least in the classic era.

Rogue vanish? OP to me. Pally bubble ridiculous! op! Mage port to stonard then afk while I take the zepplin to stv? WTF! Warlock summoned me into the lava for being late!! #$@#%!!! Shaman can one shot players allegedly?!! Op! Warriors are the best tanks and dps at the same time??! OP!! Priests can mind control!! Op!

edit: Forgot hunters lol They can tame a tank and solo content!!? rawr /delete account

ahh yes :joy:

Yeah. Game Masters should be nerfed!!! /ragequit

Yes the movement speed bonuses all stacked. 163% speed. Druid friend was rank 12 in vanilla. It stacked 100% sure on it.

I think he was asking if Druids could stack speed bonuses and also if the boot enchant stacked.

I’m certain it didn’t stack in Vanilla. I don’t know about pservers.

most of the stacking buffs/de buffs ((armor reduction, movement speed, etc. )) will more then likely be non stacking. Private servers are mostly a guessing game for how a lot of those abilities work. It will be interesting to see how heavy private server players adapt to a real version of wow classic.

I played to rank 10 with a few rank 10 plus Druid’s. They were running at 163% speed. Slightly faster than the normal mount speed. It wasn’t on a private server. Look at my character level 58 blue pvp set. I’m not making stuff up. It stacked 100%

I feel so odd saying 163% because I look at mounts being 60% and 100%. So do you consider mounts 200%?

Run speed is 100% of your normal run speed. Normal mount adds 60% speed so 160% normal run speed. Epic mount adds 100% so 200% normal run speed.

I view run speed as 0% since there is no additions. Then mount is 100% lol. Guess just a different way of looking at it.

If run speed is 0% that means your not moving. If you get hit by a snare reducing your speed by 50% your speed dropped from 100% speed to 50% speed.

It was pretty OP druids running at 163% speed with the flag especially against teams that didn’t have epic mounts. It helped make druids viable in pvp though so it balanced out.

Just looked it up on WoWwiki and you’re right. Funny I never really think as myself running at 100%. Just always looked at the bonuses as being their own thing. Never seen someone type it out as 163 because I’ve never seen someone say a mount was 200% speed. Most likely because the tooltip says 100%.

In math and programming, you kind of have to when figuring out how to allowing things to change. In truth, it is usually 1.0, but that is beside the point.

From a more reality kind of point of view, it is that you are at your best condition and 100% able to do your best.

If you get hit by a slow curse, you can only do 50% of your best and most at 50%. Muck slows you down another 50% and so you cannot move.

The opposite is true as well. If you get a speed boost from travel form, it moves 40% faster than your normal best so you go at 100% + 40% or 140% speed. Another 15% from the PvP set and you can move at 140% + 15% and you can now move at 155% of your best, etc, etc.

So you just have to think of it as 100% of your best with the boosts adding onto it.
