Thinking of boosting either one of those. Probably primarily for healing, how do each hold up for PvE/PvP? I’ve played a druid in like Cata days, but never played a shaman at max level.
Shaman is a great healer, Druid is a lot more versatile overall as a main
Try out Shaman! its fun
resto shaman is probably only shaman spec that can actually get into raiding groups without having RL as friend.
I prefer Shaman over Druid myself for healing toolkit & playstyle, but then I also despise being stuck in super-generic & goofy Tree Form all the time as a healing Druid (or idiotic chunky-chicken form for Balance).
That’s right, you’re forced to be in that tree form as resto druid right?
Yep, at least until Cata I think, where Tree Form is thankfully changed into a cooldown special ability instead. Balance also gets a glyph in Cata to change Boomkin chicken to a ‘Starfall Form’ humanoid form (The Balance version of Priest Shadow Form).
Right, forgot about that. That’s kinda annoying. Maybe I’ll go shammy.
As a shaman you will see your raid set, as a druid you will only be able to see bark, feathers or fur.
I still have a hard time choosing tbh. These two have been my mains for ages. I love the nature/storm/water theme. To help me decide i went towards gameplay and class theme vibes/spells. Hurricane and typhoon/instant heals a plus forms a minus. Shamans are great and i love their burst healing BUT u have to hardcast everything… literally. So I went for druid.
GL!
Druid love.
