Druid Healing in WotLK

How is everyone enjoying Druid healing in Wrath? So far I am really having a blast but what does everyone think of it? Finding it challenging or is your MP not causing you problems/.

I mained a shaman through Classic. Never played Druid before, but promised myself I’d level a Druid after getting mercilessly ganked by a Feral numerous times on my adventures.

It was so boring at the start. Spamming Wrath and Moonfire, then sloely hitting things in Bear form. But then it all changed when I healed my first dungeon.

I fell in love with it. You get your first mana talent very early, and it’s so much more efficient since I don’t feel the need to drink after every pull. I even sought after all spirit gear to make that mana regen even stronger.

Play a Druid healer. It’s the greatest

I’ve druid healed since Classic Vanilla. TBCC and Wrath healing have been pretty fun. Classic healing was too much healing touch rank 4 but I love the class in general so it was worth it. It’s nice to have all the different tools now.

Nothing has made me dislike something more than classic era Druid. I’ve played one all of classic, but man if Resto Druid just wasn’t fun then. I love the class lore and concept but it was without a doubt the worst class in classic. Pretty much had no good spec and two very mediocre specs.

Nice, what lvl is your druid now? Your post gives me motivation to continue the leveling grind.

I healed a heroic the other day in mostly greens, with a spec that I threw together in 2 minutes during my summon timeframe, and no bars in tree of life form so I had to do the instance in caster form.

It was fun. I’m collecting healing gear now.

Im enjoying it. I had mana issues until i learned to trust my HoTs.

Ive only played druid from BFA on and really like this iteration.

Not a fan honestly but I think that’s more of the ease of naxx and heroics than druids/healers fault.

Although never been a HoT fan I’m more of a resto shaman and disc dude.

Feral tank was the druids best spec from vanilla to TBC. It always bugged me though that all of the druids tier sets in vanilla revolved around resto which was the druids worst spec in my opinion. Absolute trash healer.

druid tree form dancing is the best in game ! look so happy doing it

Yeah, that’s fine, lots of people felt like that.

I still think druid has had a great toolkit the whole time (up until that gets changed in future version anyway). I did a lot of PVP and the flag-carrying mini-game was fun for a while.

Overall though I just like to play the same toons and not follow the flavor of the month thing. I can’t imagine playing a game in a more bland, boring, and uninspiring way than just chasing whatever the meta is. I like to play the way I want not do whatever is considered “best”.

Druid is max lvl now and raiding Naxx.

Never hwd a trouble with Mana as a Druid. Obviously big pulls will take a toll on the mana pool, but having innervate is the most valuable spell i’ve ever had the pleasure of using

Wild regrowth has brought soooo much more to the table. It suffers from the snipping of holy paladins but that is more to do with the linear damage model in T7, it improves in T8

This is what really kept me going with Druid. Playing the balance/Resto hybrid build for open world pvp was so much fun. I just didn’t enjoy raid healing on mine at all. I think if I had it to do over again I’d probably go bear tank the entire time.

Druid healing isn’t the greatest in phase 1, but with tier 8 it gets a ton better. Instead of your hots getting sniped, your hots will be doing the sniping.

Druid takes too long to level, that is from someone leveled paladin in vanila

Yea. I was in a raid with 3 holy paladins and a disc priest the other day and just watched them nullify/ snipe my hots. I was more useful on loatheb and sapphiron at least.

All the paladins were HL spec over FoL and with the glyph were just aoe bomb healing the melee. It was crazy. I just kept dumping innervate on the arcane mage so I guess I kept someone happy.

I left my Druid in TBC. Being stuck in generic, goofy Tree & Moonkin form all the time was annoying. I’m playing both my Priest & Shaman in WotLK as co-mains for dual spec healing & caster roles.

I did a tree back in the original. I had so much fun w/my tree and the best part was being a tree, flapping my arms up as I healed and running around with my little, tiny feet coming out of my trunk -It looked so stupid I just could not get enough of it and ran around on purpose as i healed.

This time I went a different route but wish I hadn’t.
