Make sure you report every single one. They will take action against the accounts and will send you in-game mail to let you know action was taken.
Ya thatās why we need some of them level 61 elites that can one shot them walking the areas. Soon as the big guy walks in they target him and there goes their grp.
Maybe a system built into game that realizes 7,000 beasts were killed in this area, so send a super elite. Then again, theyād probably end up farming that too.
Like the chickens in Zelda gamesā¦
Start taking all the gold from bots that get banned and divide it between everyone that reported them and see how fast they get caught.
That would be hilarious. They target some little varmint mob and when they kill it they get swarmed.
please dont
Are you okay? What possible sense could it make for blizzard to have bots farming mats? I meanā¦If they wanted to they could literally just create them with a couple of key clicks.
I supposeā¦if I were in a fever dreamā¦I could see a scheme to farm mats, to sell for gold, to buy tokens, toā¦drive down the token price and disincentives people from buying tokens to sell on the AH? Hrmā¦perhaps in a short term āto many tokens on the ah lets get them bought outā scenario there might be an especially challenged 1st week on the job and this somehow became my responsibility even though I have the wisdom of a toddler because mommy and daddy paid for every grade I ever got intern that might hatch such a scheme.
I do hope you were trying to be ironic/funny. If not I would suggest a few hours of exercise a day to increase alertness and mental acuity.
Yep, Iāve just made it a habit to report any boomkin I see running around outside of cities. Iāll let Blizz sort their legitimacy out.
My gaming experience has been in pretty much every sort of game Ive playedā¦including CCGs and table top RPGsā¦that cheatersā¦cheat. You can try to change to rules to keep them from cheating but they just find some other way.
Digital just makes it even more complicated to try to stop the cheaters.
I had to literally make a dice tower because I have one player who likes to try to manipulate dice rolls LMAO.
I had to quit playing games I like because I hate cheaters and they just dont stop. People you think are decent and have some integrity end up being the worst cheaters half the time.
They make the change you wantā¦theyāll just adapt and do it some other way.
Its in the cheaters nature to cheat. its what they do.
Id be careful with that. I believe its actionable to continually file false reports.
Not really.
So youāve never been affected by these bot grps? I think not, nearly BTW means almost all, but not all.
Nope. Butt I farm my own gear.
And I dont buy off the AH only sell.
If one [whatever] is bad, they all are bad!
Same. How do I know itās not some guild farming group? Only bot report Ihave done was in BFA with 5 druids simultaneously casting the same spell. Never heard anything back so I dont even know if it was against ToS
Yea, what Rahketahp said. Only report anyone that you believe is actually botting. If you report non-bots, then Blizzard taking action against bots gets slowed down as well.
This also really sucks for someone who mains a druid b/c if you just got reported for your class is known for ābottingā and the system kicks you out for a day or so, thatās not a good feeling either. Not saying that has happened, but be mindful of players VS bots.
I suggest GMs. Theyād be perfect for this kind of thing.
Must be a day ending in the letter Y.
Yes there are bots in WoW. yes there has been, and always will be, bots in WoW.
Yes the way to deal with them has not changed since Nov 23/2004 which is to report and move on and eventually they will all be caught up in a ban wave never to appear again ⦠Just kidding it only gives a few weeks respite until the process happens again but those are glorious few weeks.
Do your part, report, move on.
This is a difficult one, because that could also be the actions of one or more people who have put a group together to farm mats.
I mean, I certainly remember druid groups in BfA over in Kul Tiras where there those quill beasts were on the shore, they were a rapid spawn mob and druids would just run around starfalling them down and others in the group would skin them. Blizzard eventually fixed that by removing useable skins from the mobs.
Itās one way to fix it of course but it also removes the skins from normal players who may just want to pick up a few for their Leatherworker. There are other ways to fix it, such as increasing the spawn timer or treating them like herb nodes - make it so that once you have killed and skinned a mob two or three times, it disappears.
