Since the update of 11.1.7, my druid keeps shape shifting in and out from boomkin back to troll form non stop. I have the same exact key binds before the launch of Patch 11.1.7. The only way to stop it is for me to wait until it gets into boomkin or troll form that I want and click down on my mouse scroll wheel. If I attempt to go into bear form then shape shift back to boomkin form the the whole cycle restarts again.
I attempted to reset all key binds to default, checked to see if anything is stuck under any of my keys on my keyboard, I even disabled all addons to used only default UI, and I also removed the boomkin form spell from from my action bar that turns me into boomkin to no avail.
Luckily, I have a second lvl 80 boomkin, which I log on and have the same spells, ui, and key layout format and it doesn’t auto shape shift when I tried to replicate the issues above.
Has anyone experienced this or may have any idea as wo what is going on?

Sounds like an addon is bugging out. Try running with no addon and see if the problem goes away.
I play druid mostly and I don’t have odd or unexpected shifting since the latest patch

are you sure your talent trees are exactly the same between the two druids
I tried it with no addons and its still automatically shifting back and forth by itself. My other druid doesn’t do it even with or without addons.

Do a full UI reset to see if that helps. Disabling add-ons doesn’t fix everything if it’s corrupted/causing problems so please follow the steps exactly. You can undo it later if needed.
Could you also provide the name-realm of the characters so we can compare gear and talents to see if something seems amiss.
I’ve been playing my Druid this patch and have had no issues.
I have been having the same issue as the original poster on my Boomkin except I switch randomly out of travel form to druid form – same keybinds, talents – tried playing w/ all add ons disabled, after a game restart – still occurring

update – I tried clearing cache, playing w/out any addons enabled, unplugging/replugging my keyboard – it kept happening. It seemed like it was sensing keypresses of my shapeshift macro key even when I didn’t have my keyboard plugged in (checked this in case my keyboard was malfunctioning). I ended up deleting the macro altogether and then just re-creating identical macro (no changes to text of how it was written) and replacing it on my bars and so far (as of about 50 minutes ago) it’s not recurred.

I am having this issue too, however it is happening on all of my druids. I have tried; a different keyboard, a different mouse, removing all addons and weakauras, reinstalling the game, clearing my cache, moving my spells all to no avail.

Same issue on my Feral, cleared cache, ran no addons, no auras, no macros and it seems to be localized to the action bar and keybind.

Same issue; fresh update, no addons, no changes.
I just let it shift and then it stopped on my bear form. Shifted to tauren then back to bear (Hotkey “1”) and it started all over again. I was gonna count how many times it shifted before stopping but I was intrigued trying to figure out what Trancezero was talking about up there. I don’t think they understand the issue but just wanted to say something.

If those having this issue could post the name-server of the affected characters, it would help narrow down what might be wrong.
I’ve played this character (my main) non stop in feral and guardian spec. I haven’t had any issues at all.
It could be some weird combo of talents that’s bugged. It could be a piece of gear you all share that’s bugged. It could be an add-on.
If you guys want something to be investigated as a bug you’ve got to post the affected characters for devs to take a look at to even begin to see what they can find.
Can confirm this has started happening to me to, thought it was a stuck keybind at first but ruled that out - tried clearing addons/repair/clearing cache and several steps. Slickthick-Sargeras boomy, I submitted a bug report at this time.

nah i never experienced it on this character and most of my playtime is on it
i was just making sure that people weren’t specced into fluid form

I have the same problem (I believe) no addons, user interface reset also doesn’t work. Replicable 100% of the time. I am able to interrupt it when I press key at the right time

this deleting macro and re-creating it after logging out and back in has fixed it temporarily 3 times, but after several hours to a day or so, the spontaneous continuous shapeshifting bug keeps recurring
very disruptive – I hope a fix is in the works in near future

After doing a bit of testing, press and hold casting will continuously cast from the hotbar that initially triggered the shapeshift, even if you let go of the key or then turn press and hold casting off. Only way I could get it to stop was to alt tab, or to remove the shapeshift keybind from the hotbar (pressing the key again while the original hotbar is displayed may also work). So easiest way to fix this and prevent it in the future is to disable press and hold casting.

Turning off Press and Hold Casting (Options → Combat) fixed this for me.

This works for me a well. I found that clicking on the button or using the new one button macro will bypass the bug as well.
