Wouldn’t be the first time they’ve done it lol
People complained about flying underground in ZC.
Besides, last I checked, we don’t know what size Undermine would be. I don’t think we have much of a leg to stand on re: “why not both?” until we know the size of the city.
(And, you’ve seen Goblin cities and outposts, right? Lots of thingies and stuff sticking out everywhere. Lots of wires and ropes strung up all over the place. I won’t be surprised if it’d be a nightmare to fly through.)
I don’t see why we couldn’t fly AND have a cool goblin car. If done correctly, it might be better to drive than fly, if the maps are done that way.
Give it time. No need to speculate.
Hoping this is how it goes tbh. Ground mounts are basically useless right now–if they made ground mounts super fast while flying was super safe, itd be a perfect compromise without having to slow down flying. Im hoping this zone is a test of that
danger in retail wow lmao
open world mobs are never scary, they are just annoying health sponges
id like this to change too, but it never will
Ah well. Im bad enough at the game where sometimes they kill me. Thats enough!
These are technically both incorrect. Wrath flight was available starting at 77 and Cata flight only required 60. Unless you’re saying you personally waited until max level for some reason even though you like flying so much that you unsub when you don’t have it available…
WoD had both the highest and lowest sub counts WoW had ever seen up to that point. And much like that record high wasn’t because players expected to be able to fly in Draenor, that record low wasn’t solely because players found out they couldn’t fly in Draenor. There were many other grievances with WoD and I think chief among them were the huge performance issues during the launch window and the relative lack of max-level content.
Subs going up when a new patch releases also isn’t an unusual thing. Players come for new content. Some of them were probably because of Pathfinder, but far more of them were because of Tanaan and Hellfire Citadel.
yeah the reason is they get zero new people who want to play wow anymore, just buncha old farts wanting to relive their glory days. idk why u want to turn retail into that when you could just go play classic instead.
funny u say that when every known possible data set we have on raiding drops off hard during these types of releases but cope more i guess. maybe u need another shadowlands to make you realize a lot of people wont stick around for garbage game design.
I am all for it. I never liked the idea of having skyriding but being stuck underground. If the zone is scaled to the mount speed, I doubt anybody would notice how quick/slow we wre going
Nobody except for the most reactionary and immature children would unsub over a no fly zone.
Guess you’ve outed yourself as one of the children, though, huh?
Maybe I’m huffing the hopium here, but I envision a large, flat city with almost no verticality and wide streets to drive around on. No flying in the city proper because the Cartels are paranoid and have AA guns/missiles/insert crazy goblin weapon here trained on anything that isn’t a Goblin hotrod.
So it’s ride or die in the city proper.
But once you leave the city limits? Flying as usual.
Probably won’t happen this way, but that’s my “best of both worlds” scenario.
I cannot wait to drive full speed into a wall and nuke myself.
“Garbage game design”
Yet WoW vanilla is so popular they’re releasing it… again… next week. Lmfao. Please, show me these data sets and make sure they aren’t explainable by other factors happening at the same time.
Seems like it should be. Or we might unlock flying at some point.
But, I hope this is a blueprint going forward for a ground mount overhaul, much like sky riding/dragon riding.
Yes, yes i do. I have been wanting that mount since getting teased with it when i made my first goblin.
Exactly, so we should be given the choice to fly if we want instead of being forced to use this ground mount we don’t enjoy
They don’t need those subs. They’d be better off retaining people who like the genre and IP
Microsoft shareholders would beg to differ on that one.
Man, the day I take the forums as representative of the total game population is the day I get locked up in a psych ward. Have you seen the absolutely inane threads that blow up here every day?
