The important aspect of flying isn’t the flying part, its the efficiency of getting from point A to point B.
If wow nascar can do that in undermine in an equivalent way to skyriding, then flying isn’t specifically necessary.

I mean midnight will pick up those subs easily considering that people that want a second garr- I mean player housing will be a thing.
there really isn’t a reason for blizzard to remove one form of travel though… if the new form of travel is so amazing, then people will use it regardless…
no need to take choices away from people, right?
It’s quite possible undermine isn’t being developed with verticality that would make flying feasible. Or at the least, not without extreme awkwardness.
or it’s possible that undermine is being developed vertically and flying would not only be convenient but very efficient as well.
I must have hallucinated BFA and Shadowlands that were both ground only for the entire first patch cycle like WoD and Legion was.
I think you hallucinated reading and replying to what I said because I never said anything like that?
None of the subscribers that matter anyways.
It’s so insane that people still believe this after we already saw the massive subscriber dropoff in WoD when they announced no flying ever again, and then the subscriber uptick when they finally added it in at the end of the expansion.
You’ve been proven wrong so many times that I still have no idea how people continue to believe that most people don’t care about being able to fly. And it’s honestly that they don’t care about being able to fly, it’s just that doing the daily/weekly chores in this game becomes so tedious without flying every time they have ever tried it.
So maybe they’ve finally found the magic sauce this time with Undermine, we will see. But they genuinely never have before despite still trying numerous times, so it’s honestly weird that they keep trying this.
I’d imagine this is much like Dragonriding was in Dragon Flight another Ion passion project they now need metrics to backup.
Just like with Dragonriding, I imagine, I’ll be going back to regular riding/flying the moment I can.
That said, options are always nice, and I have no doubt many will enjoy the new rides, just as there are many who enjoy dragonriding.
all subscribers pay the same monthly fee.
yeah blizzard really needs to stop doing this thing where they create something new and then force everyone to use it.
ok, you made something new and some people enjoy it, but i would prefer to just use our current method of travel.
why remove that option?
love to see GD crying meanwhile I’ll be slideways drifting corners everywhere in that city
Most obvious is metrics.
That way they can say without lying that they produced X number of hours of use over Y time period with Z% of the base engaging with the content.
…this is the GOBLIN CAPITAL city we’re talking about.
Goblins.
Have you guys never done the Goblin starting zone? You literally get a “hot-rod” go-kart car there! There’s freeways that you drive around!
It’s been a characteristic of Goblin cities since Cataclysm.
This is NOT a case of Blizzard’s “war on flight” — this is Blizzard being true to the fantasy of an underground GOBLIN city.
Goblins love cars! They love racing! They love wacky hijinks!
(And I was one of the many posters who lambasted Blizzard back in WoD for attempting to take flight away. I hate Pathfinder. Yet I understand that this is a case of Blizzard staying true to the Goblin fantasy. My goodness, people.)
I’m usually the first to complain about not flying, but they’re giving us a customizable car like I’ve wanted since I did the Goblin starting zone in Cata and cruised with my Goblin friends before DW.
then why can’t we just have flying and the car?
I mean, that might explain why I’m wary about this, I’ve never cared for Goblins personally.
Hope we can use our Deathwheel in the new zone
2/2, both new zones no flying enabled
Ironic given your own attitude, on a video game no less.
