Dreamhaven

He left Blizzard

Activision and Blizzard are separate studios

You know just because someone leaves a company doesn’t mean he will automatically move onto another.

He could very well take a hiatus, he might be tired of developing, managing game direction and just spend the rest of his life chillin/relaxin with his family ( he made tons of money)

Did you… Is your name from that pint video? I think I remember your name from the 10000 hours of mage video :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: probably cause I watch that video every second day for mage reasons

I mean it’s the same for me with pokemon. God did I love the red and silver edition… But to be entirely honest… heartgold is really really good and whenever I go play the original silver edition now it feels a bit off.

Heartgold and Soulsilver are peak Pokemon and I will die on this hill.

Right?! I’ll die there with you

The company needs to make a game first – I dont care if its literally an all-star cast of devs. Its a start-up game company without the same level of income

Yes, but the big names drive the direction more than tree artist number 34 does.

I dont think a wow killer can exist. sunken time is a helluva pull. You know what kinda out of the park game you have to make to make someone especially the entire playerbase ditch 10+ years of memories and experience?

He might but I feel it would of been made public by now. I think he’s gonna take a back seat for now. Spend it with his family and do a pseudo-retirement of sorts until something arises’ that interests him maybe sort of like how Metzen went into the table-top stuff.

This is so true. People usually ignores or want to ignore that Blizzard was never an independent company and assumes Activision bought Blizz like 2 years ago.

The only time Morhaime run an independent company was early 90s, way before warcraft or starcraft, and way before it was called Blizzard Entertainment. Then he sold it to Davidson and then Vivendi then Activision in 2008 (which was Activision and Vivendi merging into a single company). And 2008 was like 13 years ago and all these Blizzard “veterans” are technically Activision veterans.

It was amazing.

I think he will either join Dreamhaven, retire or start his own thing.

Putting no faith into dream haven until we see something worth merit, not even thinking about it as anything they make is years and years and years away

Right now we have New World on the horizon and then ashes of creation

I’d advise any MMO fan to try both games and not just look at them with blind hatred

We need to start moving forwards with MMOs and stop knee capping them before release

I’m excited for Dreamhaven, but it will be years before anything materializes.

As for Jeff Kaplan, if I were to bet where he’d go, I would say:

41% chance he joins Dreamhaven

59% chance he joins Riot’s MMO

Actually the Warcraft Universe started as a rip off of Warhammer.

Red and Blue are peak pokemon because they are literally all the same. They refuse to change up the formula and so I refuse to buy any more since Black and White.

You guys are insane if you think this is even close to being a legit possibility.

Won’t happen. WoW is worth billions and Dreamhaven won’t have that sort of capital for years, if ever.

Can you link these data graphs that show WoW, FF, and OSRS active subs?

Would like to see.

DreamHaven… hahah keep dreaming.

He could be taking an early retirement or letting the batteries recharge a bit.

Ahhh I misread his thing. Damn I was excited too but I don’t play table top games :frowning:
