Does viper sting still drain a druids mana even though they’re in bear form??
No, but forcing them to shift into bear costs almost 600 mana
i was told by a 2k player druid that it does though, is there any docs on this?
Set up a duel between a hunter and a druid. Ask them to test.
just because they are 2k means nothing. 
My belief is it doesn’t drain them when they’re in form but it stays on and if they pop back out it would return to draining?

You’re probably playing in NA where your 2k players are 1200 players OCE players at best. I’ve seen youtube videos and you have way more players so the ladders are skewed.

It does not. I’m a feral druid, I PvP often. We only lose mana in forms that have a mana bar, travel form/aquatic form/flight form/caster form/ and lastly Tree Form. Cat Form and Bear Form do not lose mana from viper sting while in said form, but we more or less lose the mana from the form cost itself.

Viper sting mana burn do nothing to a druids mana in bear or cat. Super fun fact skull of impending doom also does not effect mana in bear or cat. You still lose health from it tho.
