Dragonflight Twitch Drops: Get Your D.I.S.C.O. Now!

They’ll keep doing it as long as it’s popular, which it is.

Wouldnt advertisers and sponsors care?

Or are they only getting donations?

“I had 245,000 views last week.”

‘How many actually watched?’

“8.”

As far as I know, Blizzard doesn’t make money from these events, and I doubt sponsors change their arrangement with streamers based on the number of people actively watching vs. passively watching.

I would bet that the number of people that let streams run in the background while doing something else is much higher than the number of people that actively watch streams at any given time…so if that were an issue, it would have probably already been addressed.

Or nobody really cares about the whims of the marketing team.

oh good i have one already so i dont have to watch

I mean, it’s cool and all, but couldn’t it also be obtainble via by ingame means too? Some of us, really don’t care to leave the tab open for Twitch. Let alone sit in a stream for hours, watching. I’m more of a video guy.

And before anybody says it, yes, i know it’s incredibly easy to do. I just don’t care to subject myself to Twitch in order to get the drop. In the same way i don’t play those Radio phone call games in order to get money or other neat things. Even though the latter takes more effort.

As long as the window is open and the stream is running, it is technically being watched. Just not closely. I will only pop in every once in a while, to make sure my credit bar is still going up before going back to something else. They might technically be artificial boosts, but these streamers are still getting attention. Maybe not full attention, but attention all the same. And that’s the entire point, I guess. The streamers get the advertisement, as does Blizzard. If it wasn’t working, I doubt they’d have done so many drops by now.

The weekend lasts for 2 weeks? Oh really? Do tell.

The boost in subs streamers see from them completely refutes this.

Any idea if this is rumored to be a future twitch drop? I’d love to have it again. I had it on a previous account and loved it. Granted, it’s fairly low res and all, but I love how it moves and its sound effects are spot on. :chicken:

I have yet to get my weather machine. How long is your snail mail on these drops? Some people get them others are still waiting. You’d think by 2023 you guys would have some idea on how to get this stuff right.

A week ago I said I highly doubt they will make the rooster or spectral tiger a twitch drop; as they are the most expensive on the market and are probably being held by blizz employees…But just today they announced they are bringing back the ability to get the swift zulian tiger once again…a drop even more rare than the tiger and rooster… It would seem to me that Blizzard has no sense of what exclusive means and all these ‘rare’ mounts are pretty much going to be common within the next few years. I’d imagine when the last spectral tiger and rooster are claimed they will start giving them out as drops. Just like the Fel Drake.

Who is getting a boost in subs and where did you find this information? Because it’s not true. The only time there was a boost in subs is when they had the ‘gift 2 subs for…’ at the start of DF. I guess you know a guy that knows a guy?

Reminder that you can open up a stream, set it to the lowest quality and then mute the stream from the top of your browser on the actual tab and not twitch itself to ensure it gives you progress.

I wondered what that smell was

I always wanted that toy. Guess I’ll have to afk leave twitch on.

Love this, totally going to get it!

Been watching a twitch channel that has drops for hours and got no credit for it yet. I have tried 3 different channels. This happened last time too. It’s getting old
