Dragonflight Talent Previews - Hunter and Rogue

Meh to say the least I think they need to push the expansion back a few month’s seems like some of these trees have more questions than answers, just my opinion though. I just feel the expansion will not be ready for a release this year.

So let me get this straight Rogue’s are allowed to have

“Restless Crew: Restless Blades also affects party members within 40 yds, reducing the remaining cooldown of a major offensive ability by 0.2 sec per combo point spent.”

But, Feral still can’t have Leader of the Pack for PvE? What is going on to where this is still seemingly ok to you?

Consider going back and reworking the Feral tree/The Spec as a whole, oh and Fixing the Survival Hunter Tree. These trees are showing the specs that are clearly the ones getting effort put into them.

I know right Feral tree sure does need another look just don’t make any sense.

There is no stun duration reduction, even if there were, that would just mean that every other classes would get punished with lower duration on their stuns just to try to balance Kidney Shot.
8 seconds stun is too long, there is no counterplay, there is no building around it, you simply cannot do anything once you’re stunned for 8 seconds with no ways to break said stun.
Kidney Shot cooldown is too short for the PvP trinket to do anything against it on the second Kidney shot once 30 seconds have passed and only very few classes can break out of a second stun or do anything while stunned.

The solution is as simple as simply not allowing Kidney Shot to be longer than 6 seconds. It’s still going to be the longest undispellable stun in the game but at least it won’t be so long that it’s pretty much impossible to survive it.

Blizzard, please open up the Rogue class tree for more horizontal paths. Right now it is completely vertical top to bottom, unlike the Hunter tree.

Anyone against the idea that since rogues got their poisons for their daggers that feral druids can dip their claws in poisons sounds legit if you ask me.

Please consider replacing Subtlety Rogues - Shadow Blades ability with something a little more flavourful, shadowblades has been Subs primary Cooldown since Legion and for the 6 years it’s been around it hasn’t felt satisfying to push, the damage increase is so small compared to the length of it’s cooldown, and while the extra combo points are nice, it isn’t enough to justify it being a 3 minute cooldown.

Shadowy Reflections (WoD iteration) was such a cool cooldown and felt fun to push. Maybe something more in line with that would also fit the sub class identity better? Or even a cooldown version of Death from Above, could be a super powerful finisher but it’s only usable after using 10-20 finishers (stacking buff that gets consumed when you use DfA?)

Just looked at the rogue tree and man sin rogues got some nice stuff like OP status.

No kidding, the flayed shot/kill shot/aim shot/rapid fire synergy is so fun right now, I hate to see it go away.

On the Beast Mastery Tree, why is it possible to have Dire Pack without Dire Beast?? What is the effect of Dire Pack without Dire Beast or what can be defined as a “Dire Beast” that would trigger this effect? Additionally, the effect is very underwhelming to be in the last row compared to what other classess/specs have in the final row.

Also, compared to all other classes that have been previewed, hunter is the one with fewer options and most talents that require 3 points, it feels like just dumping points in one single talent for extra crit in one single ability instead of using the points for various talents that would give a variety of abilities or effects, like rogues for example.

Its going in a great direction, but definitely needs more work.

Sin rogue looks really interesting. My only concern at this point is how linear a lot of the choices are. For example, out of the 16 active abilities in the class tree, only 2 of them can be reached from multiple directions and in the sin tree only 2 out of 10 can be reached from more than one path. It’s a bit sad that everyone who goes thistle tea for example is forced to spend the same 4 points above it, or even worse if you want indiscriminate carnage you have to spend 12 points of which only 2 can be changed around.

While the talents offer a great amount of discretion you get locked into a path down the tree really hard. It would be great to see a little more horizontal movement.

This looks dope, but it’s almost too dope because it looks like a lot of favoritism went into these vs the crapheap that is the DK trees, which still seem to be the most underwhelming and disappointing so far.

I’m gonna say it. I know that some people wanted their covenant abilities baked in because of how much they helped (DK with Abomb Limb for example). But rogue having access to 3/4 covenant abilities in certain specs and all of that, 2/3 of those being capable of being gotten on all 3 specs feels overkill.

I wanna be done with Shadowlands. We’re really keeping anima charged combo points? In an expac that has nothing to do with anima? In a completely different realm of existence than anima even exists? What, did it rub off on a rogue and become genetically part of his makeup?

It even says in the tooltip: “Extract the target’s anima.” Why? We’re back on Azeroth. Nothing here even has anima.

I really really hope Barrage for them is like Godfrey/D3 Demon Hunter and they just whip out dual Hand-crossbows and go to town XD

Some of the prereq choices don’t really make sense; I need 20 skill points to take Aspect of the Eagle, why do I also need to put 3 points into an increased crit talent before choosing it?

I feel like the tiers should have no prerequisites outside of points spent

This mm and class hunter trees are terrible. why is barrage before master marksmen, why is chakrams a talent ? especially death chakrams. why is multishot AND trickshot a talent, why is double tap at the bottom and why is mm forced to basically gut themselves to just do pure st or pure aoe. this tree design is actually awful and i feel really sorry for the person(s) who designed this. ive been vibing and felt off on some of the other classes, but this marksmen tree is just terrible.
