Dragonflight taking me back to the beginning

So I had something weird happen. I’m a lvl 80 in dragon isles doing quest I skipped over. And today I ran accross a quest that looked like the main quest line on the map. So I flew over there and it brought me to the beginning starting zone. All the beginning quest are there again. Anyone have this happen?

You’re certain that was the character that did the main campaign in DF? Quests don’t generally reset for a character once they completed them.

Correct me if I’m wrong but do gear updates reset quests?

Not that I’ve seen documented anywhere. Only empties the quest log like a level boost does.

I can say that I’ve never seen something like that happening.

Can you give us an idea of what quests you are referring to? The beginning area like Waking Shore? If you are referring to your level 80 Hunter, you did use a level 70 boost on them.

I don’t show that you completed the campaign previously on that character. With the boost you would have Adventure Mode unlocked, which gives you a bit more freedom in questing.

Adventure Mode:

Leveling Your Alts with Adventure Mode

Dragon Isles Adventure Mode is a system that will assist in leveling your alts in Dragonflight. Once you reach level 68 on your main character and complete the campaign storyline for each zone—The Waking Shores, Ohn’ahran Plains, The Azure Span, and Thaldraszus—Adventure Mode will unlock for your alts. This will open World and Profession Trainer Quests and allow them to explore the zones in any order when they step onto the Dragon Isles.

So the quests, as far as I know, should still be available. You just can do them in any order you want.
