Dragonflight Season 4 Dungeon Changes Ahead

i only leveled alts during tw weeks because they are not fun… yayyy doing them on mains?

The big change that ticks me off is the inability to farm LFR quality items from dungeons in S4.

What’s a slow run, exactly

Because keys at most levels are usually quite slow

As the person who has been complaining about it forever, unless there is something huge I’m missing, I disagree.

The main thing that’s changing, at least from what I’m seeing, is that Heroic will actually provide decent gear so it’s actually worth doing. Current M0 is already considered a laughable bore, it was just locked behind pre-made looking for groups. There’s no reason to go beyond Heroic now, and I don’t see any reason to go beyond it for season 4.

The main change is that now, it’s just not a pointless step in the ladder anymore. Again, unless there is something I’m missing here./

Thanks for the info Blizz. Looks interesting.

Just strategizing out loud based on incentives.

Day 1: Run every dungeon at M0 exactly once because of the lockout (for max chance at Champion loot, since each boss has a chance of a drop)
Day 2-6: Start running endless M2s to hunt down specific pieces of gear to fill in the Champion gaps
Day 6: try to run at least 1 M8 for a chance at Mythic from vault

Its also a good change for the ppl who do like M+, less spread of keys = more people to queue on a specific key lvl too.

So ill never be able to play mythic is what your trying to say? Heroic is perfect for casual playing. Do not ruin it!

I hate timers. But i done mythic+. I am a casual. Haven’t really done above 10 though

This change coupled with Delves seem like we are headed in a good direction.

Another list of changes but still they refuse to remove Tyrannical and Fortified even tho that has been one of the most consistent requests by players. Really should listen to the community

This is a step in the right direction.

I think gear should be entirely excluded from Mythic+ dungeons. Instead, the only rewards should be titles, mounts, cosmetic items, and recognition through competitions such as the MDI.

Forcing people (raiders) to play m+ who don’t want to doesn’t make the mode better.

The current difference in difficulty between heroic and m0 is pretty much just the requirement to form your own group instead of using the queue system.

Season 4 heroics will be slightly harder but more rewarding and Mythics will be much harder but much more rewarding.

As someone who when they played retail but hated being timed in dungeons, seems a fine change to me. Hell, ontop of that, I only ever slightly dabbled in Normal Raid difficulty through being a random PuG a guild took on their runs. Regularly I only ever did LFRs to experience the story line.

Ok here is the problem with this new system.

Mythic zero, under this new system, still have a weekly lockout. So anyone that wants to farm lower keys for gear can no longer do that.

New Mythic zero is now the old mythic +10.

So if anyone is trying to gear a new toon and use lower keys to do that can only do one run per week for each mythic zero dungeon.

Actually terrible design.

Now people have to get to (old) mythic +10 level before they can start to spam keys for gear.

They are also bringing the toxicity down to heroic level. Hope people will be more patient in heroic/m0.

That vote kick button about to break from constant utilization.

You see everything as a devious, anti-casual scheme.

Meanwhile casuals have asked for heroic to be challenging enough that people can’t blow through them and M0 to stay relevant beyond the first week for years. This accomplishes both.

For the love of all that is fel, can you remove the god damn Altar of Decay from the instance if you are going to be making these changes! Right now if I need to craft something from it, I can just run a quick heroic. You are making this process too difficult for crafting.

I’m confused why they even kept M0 at all in this new progression path. Unless they actually want to make a no timer version of m+ progression and just don’t yet know how to do it so that it’s balanced with M+ and Raid (I’m guessing any no timer mythic dungeon progression path would look more like a 5 man raid and therefore have a weekly lockout).

These are not really any “changes”. They just redistributed where we get gear upgrades and squished M+ levels.

It also remains to be seen if the dungeons will be really scaled properly.

I have a feeling the casual players may not enjoy struggling in heroics, M0s and lower M+.

How do you think this is what’s happening or that’s what their goal is, though
