Dragonflight Season 4 Dungeon Changes Ahead

When is season 4?

It has never worked like that previously though. If you’re locked out to loot, you’re also locked out to other end of run rewards. Not that I would want to spam M0 on an alt anyway.

True, but we’ll still be able to invite new party members into M0 just as we can now.

New M0 level will drop basically normal raid loot, 1/8 Champion.

Likely they want to make Normal raid still viable, and not something you just bypass in the gearing process.

Now, that reasoning may or may not make sense, debatable.

fated season is completely recycled. literally nothing new. who is this for?

Yes it would, at least to my simple mind.
What’s different on M0 is each boss is lootable, so it’s not a one-per-dungeon chance. Maybe they don’t want someone getting all their gear in a day…but even then they are getting Veteran gear, which itself has a built in ilvl cap, so why the need to keep the lockout…idk

EDIT: No wait I’m reading it wrong, so M0 is champion gear, so if you don’t want to let someone get all their champion gear in a day, you keep the lockout I guess…hmmmm

One of the easiest ones really

The players who aren’t going to unsub between the end of S3 and the prepatch for next xpac.

weird. i don’t have that issue at any key level on any of my characters.

Important to remember this isn’t just no bolstering incorp etc but also no Fortified or Tyrannical, which are affixes that directly affect dungeon scaling. Meaning it’ll probably feel more like a 7-8.

I never said it wasn’t. But for the game to be designed around that and pushing people who don’t want to do competitive content into it isn’t going to convert them into keypushers.

I don’t see how that’s what these changes do, if anything it gives people who have wanted a version of dungeons with some degree of teeth without a timer something to do, as well as a progression track to do it in.

What about dawn of the infinite? will that be scaled up to or not because its not in the M+ rotation?

What about the hard mode version of it? will that become super difficult now?

I wonder if these changes will be used going forward into the War Within.

I’m going to disagree with you. I see it as an effort to push the people who are currently clearly into doing heroic dungeons into harder content. If they can even find low keys, they will be pushed to do +10’s, which they don’t want to or they’d be doing them now.

This is designed to satisfy people who never do that level of difficulty and think people who are choosing to do heroic dungeons should be forced into harder content.

nobody likes the forced dragonflying dungeon, why is incorp afflicted sanguine bolstering and raging still a thing? i would rather do wrath 5 mans or mop ngl i hate df 5 mans

I would say taking an hour and a half to slog through an M0 would qualify.

And more power to them if they want to do something like that.

But compared to last season I think we’re going to have a much brighter line dividing the have / have nots. If the timers are as tight as season 1 jumping into a +2 where you can maybe wipe once and still time it will be a big jump.

But… The dragon flight dungeons… Those can hard fail groups with or without a timer.

Why would they? They’d just stop at the hardest difficulty thing they’re willing to engage in / doesn’t have timers the same as they are now…

If all you did is M0s this patch, heroics will still be there and be exactly as hard as M0s were. If you wanted something harder than M0s that didn’t have timers, you now have that.

it’s surely directed at me, and I love it. I have vision reversal issues and need a LOT more practice time to learn a dungeon (especially under a timer) than most folks take to learn…very happy to get a chance to move forward.
