a 5 congrats dont you feel accomplished now
How can you fail upwards without a timer?
Not completing the dungeon wonāt yield rewards and will be the only measurement of success/failure.
What?
Optional high tier content is allowed to exist.
Having the same impression after reading this. And I noticed this will be the paradigm going into War Within. My takeaways:
- Gonna focus on even fewer characters (I now have a main, a main alt and kinda play 2-3 more, so itās gonna be 1-3 max)
- Gonna avoid pugging, guild runs as much as possible
im not even probably going to run with my casual guild next tier at this rate.
The new M0 has no timer and no affixes but will be the equivalent of m+10 in term of scaling.
By my read, +2s are gonna be super heavy incentive to runā¦and Iām scratching my head on the insistence on M0 weekly lockout.
Can Blizzard evaluate the affixes? Specifically with consideration to removing Incorporeal and Afflicted affixes?
Thank you for the communication and we appreciate your effort to make the game a better place to stay and hang out.
Hell nah, for me personally, even though DF does a lot right, the dungeons are terrible. SL and BfA had far better dungeons from a M+ perspective i believe (dungeon design, routes, amount of time you just walk without doing anything, etcā¦). I said myself IĀ“m gonna play if they do not put all the DF dungeons together, sad to see it but other people will have fun for sure.
Thatās what I mean, people will use it for the first week or two, but then jump into the new +2 and never look back.
If we can spam M+2 through +10 now, wouldnāt it make sense to remove the weekly lockout from the new M0?
I hope you are correct, because if portals require the equivalent of S3 30s. Oh boy, the backslash is gonna be fierce.
Because if they keep to 8 dungeons, it should just be the originals.
If itās the 8 originals itās not going to include the megadungeon.
Iām with you on this one, do not understand keeping the lockout for dungeon content.
Absolute lunacy, but apparently if the lowest mythic that has a key isnāt on a lockout, the entire m+ key structure falls apart somehow.
Best not think about it.
Wowhead seems to believe that it will be all of the Dragonflight dungeons except DotI. It just feels bad that we have to do it all over again with no new Affix or Seasonal buff. So sad indeed.
Yeah, I already got all the portals, Iāll probably stop at KSM if they are just repeating the same dungeons.
I think the vast majority of people are going to run at a pace as fast as the group can go and the completion times will be very much as if they were timed anyway.
I think that people looking to assemble groups will need to be very clear that they want a slow run, otherwise they are going to get leavers left and right in the untimed keys.
I doubt casuals will even touch +2. Those who currently only do M-0 will be fine doing Heroics.
But they might complain that M0 is too hard.
I was beginning to think the formula would never change, so I am very happy about these changes and the fact that the dungeon system as a whole is getting improvements. I think itās insane that it didnāt get anything like this until now, itās been 8 years since m+ was introduced, but whatever, I expect that by now.
Great move in the right direction and will make it a lot more accessible for people to get into mythic+.
I still think though that having Normal, Heroic, M0, and M+ so essentially 4 categories of dungeons, is too much. I feel like there could be some simplification done there with naming. I also feel like there shouldnāt be 4 raid difficulties, so hopefully thatās going to get a look at sometime soon or with War Within. But other than that, love the idea of no timers until you get into the harder keys, this will make me play dungeons WAY more than I have ever since m+ was introduced.
Praying to the heavens that with War Within, there will be BIG changes to affixes, because I still think thatās a major pain point for a lot of people. In a world where dungeons are different each season, do we really need them? Especially the more frustrating ones. Iām going to say that Iād prefer no affixes at all, or, if anything, a seasonal affix and thatās it.
