Its true it brings some sort of progression back to the lower dungeon tier.
We are basically getting a real Easy, Intermediate, Hard dungeons diffulty level where we can expect the jump from each level to be more significant.

Has there been any confirmation or statement as to when? Or confirmation that it’s not when we log on?
Season 4. Not today.
You WILL bring an aug or two paladins and you’ll like it.
Can someone explain this to me like I’m 5? Because I read the entire article twice and I’m still lost.
To be sure, “Mythic 0” will remain unavailable to queue into via Group Finder? From my perspective, this has always been the biggest issue with the relevance of “Mythic 0”.
Heroic difficulty deleted and is now what old M0 is.
Old M0 is now a +10 without a timer or affixes.
Old +2 is now old +11.
Great change! I’ve been asking for this for a while for the benefit of casual players or playing alts.
One downside is that with the +39 ilvl increase between tiers, M0s will drop 1/8 champion gear at 493, which is better than full M-raid gear currently. That means performance-oriented raiders will be incentiviozed to full clear M0s the first week or two or each season, which is a different target demographic than they seem to be aiming the new M0s at.
They should shrink the ivl jump between tiers to +26 like it used to be, which would solve this issue.
M0 has a lockout is the reason why.
Also, you don’t need a key to do it. Anyone can start their own group.
Thank you!
This is probably true for more casual players.
They will be allowed to fail upwards without a timer all the way up to the previous + 10 level. And suddenly at 10 ( the new +1 ) they are going to have a timer. And probably not as forgiving as the previous season unless they nearly double the times from season one.
From my understanding, only the loot at the end is on a lockout, not the crests. That being said, i still agree with your opinion, even if you can farm crests… My goal is gonna be to get to M7 as fast as possible to farm gear in that range (M7-10), to skip drake crest upgrades as much as possible…
Running M0 with casuals that find the timer too stressful is not something i’m looking forward to.
So…remove the lockout?? Why not?
Edit: To be sure, this is an honest question. I began playing WoW back in 2004 and stopped playing before the Mythic dungeons existed and then took some time to discover that Group Finder could not be used for Mythic. And so, I don’t really understand the lockout barrier.
Are you a casual? I’m a casual, and I see this as an effort to push casuals into harder content quickly, thinking they won’t notice it’s happened. I think it’s a joke, because it’s designed around the availability of low keys, which are already a ghost town. This will just make it worse, and no way would I do a +10 under any circumstances. Tanking with incorporeal has definitely cured me of any desire to do affixes.
The problem with the +26 gaps is that it made getting loot from M+ almost entirely pointless because a +14 dropped roughly the same iLvl as a Mythic piece from the previous tier.
It’s a short term problem because if you spam keys you can easily go up +15-20 iLvls in a single week.
These are good changes IMO.
By keeping the lockout on M0, isn’t it going to just end up like the current version of M0: abandoned by most people after a couple weeks when the season starts?
Please change the Glory of the Dragonflight Hero Achievement to allow Heroic dungeons for credit. Otherwise you’ve just made it MUCH harder to complete those achievements on M0
the casual players arnt going to make it to a +10. i can tell you right now this jsut killed pugging for me below that level because you know its going to be a horrible slog of completion keys.
So what does this mean for me? If I’m running 15’s right now, where do I start next season?
A 15 next session will be a 5 or 6, so because scaling will be of as difficulty scales up with each session, what will a session 3 15 be in session 4? A +2?
