nope I actually hate that idea
We need more primary professions not less.
nope I actually hate that idea
We need more primary professions not less.
More CRAFTING professions. Woodworking.
And we can gather wood from trees around the world.
Please blizzard come on
if they could create all new stuff for that profession I would agree but taking things from other professions to give to this I donât agree to.
Why not get a desk top?
Honestly, I prefer to play in my living room on a snack table, or in bed if needed. I have medical issues and setting up with a laptop is a lot easier. I also like being able to easily take my computer anywhere I want. I have done so for almost 15 years now. I HAVE a desktop and it has a GTX 970 in it so can play DF, but it is upstairs and tethers me to the office.
If these crafting stations allow you to create item sets, similar to the crafting stations in ESO, then this is an AMAZING update. Iâve been asking for this for a really long time, and it will go a long way with customizing unique gear, regardless of quality.
Wow that looks pretty cool at a glance.
Will any of the profession related stuff being implemented in Dragonflight impact in any way the professions from expansions prior to it?
Will any recipes for a profession suddenly be unobtainable at all?
Why come Sept 28th I am going to check out a new game hitting the Market that is going to be free to playâŚcalled PaliaâŚthey have player housing and much much more with craftingâŚit has wonderful looking scenes so far tooâŚ
+1 to Artisanâs Mettle being BoA. We earned that material. We will likely amass a mountain of it on one or two characters, but have a paltry amount on others. That always feels horrible. Itâs anti-fun. Let us use the materials we earned how we want.
Blizzard consider bringing your reagent bag into the Void storage network. Void storage could be so much more then an ignored feature.
I know there seems to be a lot of anxiety about the crafting tables, but if there is an AH there, I am more than willing to tether my crafting to a station.
I wonder if enchanting might be something like you can enchant your own gear out in the field with the right equipment, but creating enchantment scrolls and such is confined to the station.
I also think this an area where profession equipment could come into play. If you are crafting at the station, you are using your elerium rod of inspiration, your robe of many pockets (+crafting speed) and fine azerite focusing crystal (10% discount on special reagents) BUT if you are in a raid environment and need to enchant on the fly, you are wearing your durable copper rod, heavy apron of arcane resistance and portable ley line focus (which while allowing crafting on the fly may not allow any discounts or bonuses, and could require some extra ingredients).
While I can understand why things canât be moggable in the current patch iteration, I did want to inquire what makes it necessary for those said pieces of fine art for professions hard to become mogs in the first iteration? Either way I do like how its shaping up just hoping to use those as the mining hat is rather nice and reminds me of the super rare drops from Uldaman.
My best guess would be the new profession gear being non-standard gear pieces (at least compared to the visual). In the latest update they referred to the profession gear set as being a tool and two accessories.
Looking at the picture they provided for mining gear (not much I know) I would wager that the helmet is considered an accessory piece and not a traditional helmet. If that is how it works, I could see why it doesnât play nice with the current Transmog system.
no, not even remotely. Gathering professions have been primary professions of 18 years and are absolutely the crafting identity of many characters. You dont get to just have them for free because you think they are lesser professions that blacksmithing, tailoring or leatherworking.
Ok Blizzard, now that Iâve had the chance to go over both of your profession posts, I want to consolidate my thoughts and requests here. Iâm sure I wonât get a direct response from you all, itâs just my hope that what I say gets some consideration.
Iâve always been a pretty big profession player in WoW (Iâm sure some of you can verify that on my character and past forum posts), so this is all coming from personal want and experience. This will be a long post, so I will do what I can to make it easy to digest.
Many players, myself included, enjoy having crafters that can create an entire armor set, weapons, trinkets, etc. for themselves and their alts. Becoming an Armorsmith back in Vanilla was, and still IS, one of my favorite achievements in WoW. It was deeply satisfying to work towards, and even more satisfying creating full mithril and thorium sets for others.
Personally, I feel that this incoming limitation has too much of a competitive play / gearing mindset to it, and this is a massive detriment to player freedom and creativity. Though dungeons and raids are fun, not all of us want this to be our primary focus when playing your game. Also, I should be able to craft up a bunch of stuff for someone whoâs experiencing a bit of bad luck, regardless of whether or not they choose the 'queue âtil you dieâ route.
With the announcement that you will have crafting stations in Dragonflight, it is my hope that each station will dedicated to creating certain sets. For example, Anvil of the Gorilla, Anvil of the Eagle, etc. Each piece in the set or item that is created at that station bears a growing set piece bonus, that players can pick and choose from.
Iâm doing my best not to reference another game here, but Iâm sure you know what I mean! I am 100% certain you can deconstruct and remix those sets, and throw some 4-, 6-, and 8-piece bonuses. If youâd like, Iâd be more than happy to put together a list of examples.
Based on what Iâve read from your post today, it appears that you are going to do exactly. I just want to be sure that you do NOT restrict these profession changes just to Dragonflight. This would make leveling alts extremely fun AND profitable.
The old perks would be nice, but anything new would be great as well. Profession players deserve to have their devotion and skill rewarded.
Let us create sockets, craft attachments like chains, oils and runes, and give us some tertiary buffs based on gathering proficiencies. You and I both know WHY profession perks were taken away in the first place; you should have never let those people take them from us. Please, correct this.
This may appear to be similar to my third request, but hear me out. Each Profession in the past had proper categories that allowed for generic molds, blueprints, formulae, etc. This needs to return, and be expanded upon.
For example, the quality of a sword may vary based on the materials used, but itâs still a sword. For example, currently, if I want to create a Phantom Blade, I use mithril bars and Breath of Wind. If I want to âreforgeâ a Phantom Blade for use at higher levels (as well as a recolored Transmog), as a blacksmith I should be able to replace mithril bars with ghost iron bars, and replace Breath of Wind with the MoP air reagent equivalent as a secret ingredient.
This will create a new style âPhantom Bladeâ, with an MoP style flair and actual use for a higher level. Becoming a specialist in a profession should allow one to do this for several recipes. Obviously, certain things like mounts would not be available for this type of reforging, but I think bolstering profession specializations like this would sustain gameplay throughout the entirety of WoW, not just Dragonflight.
Having said all of that, I really like the addition of the reagent bag, the stack increases, the crafting visuals (well done!), and especially the slots for profession tools (this is amazing, I plan to use my Armorsmith hammer trinket if possible). Iâll likely come back with more later.
New BoP Expulsom/BoS item where the gatherers wonât have that many uses and will HOARD them?
They never learn, whatâs the difficulty to make these BoA instead? The character could send A FEW so someone else could make them equipment, but that material will still keep stacking, unless they make it so that it drops MORE for characters with CRAFTING professions, that use them.
They never do learn from the past. Its just like classes bringing raid buffs, its already been done and the obvious flaws with doing it were determined to be bad for the game and they were mostly all removed to the song of âbring the player, not the classâ and everyone cheered.
.
Yet here we go again.
I would like to know if we will be able to transmog our regular gear into some of these pieces, Iâd love the idea of combining my engineering and alchemy into my characterâs look, like we had in the past with Mech googles.
Fantastic job dev team!
Un Abrazo
Are there plans to allow hairstyles to show under hats and helmets eventually, rather than it all just turning into that sort of âslickedâ or âtuckedâ look?
Please let us be able to use the legendary fishing pole for the fishing perks. Worked hard on getting that and would be great to use it again as a fun bonus to fishing but not needed for those that didnât get it.
