This is what we waited for? This? You should be ashamed Blizzard. What a show.
So silly question, obviously a lot of time went into plunderstorm, but for all intents and purposes that is a seperate game. Outside of balance changes and prepping for season 4 did 10.2.6 introduce any new / quest / etc. into wow itself?
No… It did not.
Treating this like a wow content patch? lol
This is just testing of a lame new ip idea that is half of a decade too late to the party. And you marketed it as a wow update and kept it secret so people couldn’t call you out.
Nice job on that new communication and quality commitment!
Blizzard added WHAT to this game?!
. . .
I don’t even like Battle Royales, but I want those cosmetics for my rouge
100 games at 10-15 minutes a pop is 100-150 minutes
that’s 2.5 hours at the top end
if you only play 30 minutes a day, you could get that done in a work week
I highly doubt that is all it takes to get everything, it has GOT to take longer than that for people to be complaining about the slow progression
I’ve seen estimates closer to 26 hours which, depending on when the event ends, may or may not be a serious time investment
and I say that because if the event lasts a week, yeah, you really do need to no-life it to get all the rewards
but if it lasts until The War Within launches, you’re looking at a minimum time frame of about 2 months
1 match a day on workdays, 2-3 on weekends. that is 8 matches a week. at 15 minutes a pop, you’re looking at about 6-7 weeks needed
that…isn’t that unreasonable. the only catch I can see is queue times. if those are between instant and 5 minutes, then I can still see it being done in that 6-7 week time frame.
if the queue times go up to an hour…then there’s issues
Missing a zero, 100 * 10 = 1000 / 60 = 16.6
The total rep required to get to rank 40 is 100,000, but this also assumes you are making 1000 Rep / game, which is not guaranteed, the rep is based on the amount of coins you receive, and I believe the minimum amount is 500. Which would mean the calculation at the high end is closer too
100,000 / 500 = 200 Games at 10 Minutes = 2000 / 60 = 33 Hours give or take. Assuming you played for 30 minutes a day it would take 66 consecutive days to reach level 40.
If we assume averages,
100,000 Rep / ~750 Rep/match = 133.3~ matches * 12.5 = 1666.25 Minutes / 60 = 27.7 Hours or approximately 55.8~ days if one was to play ~30 minutes per day. In both calculations, assuming everyone is correct and the intended length of the event is indeed 6 weeks or 42 days the player fails to reach the goal playing only 30 minutes a day.
Edit: Very important, you can in fact get almost no rep / match as it turns out, and I’ve seen as low as 7 rep, that would make my 750 rep / match average beyond optimistic, likely meaning the real number for your average player is between 300 - 500. So unless you have persistently stellar performance even accounting for reduced match times in losing early, I imagine you’re looking at the 30-35 hour mark in terms of time invested.
So the Big Secret is Fortnite-esque PvP? I’ll go back to farming old raids for mounts then.
Watching the comments go from over 200 down to 140, then down to 116, now 107. Shows blizzard constantly working hard to make sure only the best, most cherry picked comments are available for the public to view. Thank you blizzard for the content that no one asked for, and only you wanted. Giving us a mount would have been better.
QA failure - it appears last week’s class buffs weren’t in the 10.2.6 build and someone(s) manually added it. The issue is they mistakenly dropped Survival’s 3% buff and accidentally gave it to BM. That clearly wasn’t intended and was human error. Please fix that by returning SV’s 3% buff. Whether you keep BM buffed by 3% is up to you. But nerfing SV b/c of human error is not acceptable
You doing ok there, champ?
Spiffy. A little cold for my taste outside. You? Getting enough sleep?
Sadly, DnD is not included. I just went looking.
I hate your 8 hour job~
I curse you develpers!!
Why did no one go validate the obvious vote manipulation that happened with the Fury vote? It was reported multiple times in the thread itself and they ignored it?
I am genuinely disappointed with this.
I would really like to know too. The arms set was also manipulated and I’d be surprised if other specs didn’t get the same treatment. That vote was a sham.
Is this event only PVP and dungeons/raids?
Yeah, me or my working friends absolutely don’t have that much time to spend into same type of every battle event, sadly
Same, honestly. They need to increase renown gains substantially. It being this slow for a limited time event is horrible.
This just needs to be its own separate Blizzard game.
