specs - 4090, 5800x cpu oc’d, 32gb ddr3800 ram, running at max settings with raytracing and AA off on 4k res - FPS is ALL over the place. valdrakken - 30 fps. raid is unplayable without the graphic settings being at 0
I know I know - the game only uses a single thread from the cpu so its bottlenecked, but this is really really unacceptable yall

doubt, lol.
what cpu are you using?
I’m sitting in valdrakken with 35 FPS right now.
i have intel 13th gen , idk is there an issue with AMD cpu right now?
intel has superior single thread performance to AMD and you’re on the latest gen chip which is why you have improved performance
you should still be getting more then 30fps with that setup though, sounds like to me either there is a bug with AMD CPUS in wow or something else is running that is killing your fps, i know wow is a heavy cpu cycle game but still 30-35 fps with settings turned down with that setup? something doesnt smell right.
settings are maxed in valdrakken (raytracing + AA off) @ 41 FPS right now.
spinning the camera tanks down to 30 fps
3700x/2060 super
works on my machine
no outdated mods, unsupported mods anything like that? a bad mod can tank your fps as well.
assuming you’re not running max settings @ 4k on a 2060 super
In Valdrakken? Sure you do bud.
Nice self report

People in other threads have been saying they’ve had issues with intel.
Gonna believe it’s some faulting uefi and/or poorly configured/throttled pcie.
You are correct. 1440/max.
I just went to addons and disabled every addon, very slight performance increase →
fps increased slightly from 42 to 50, if I spin the camera aggressively it still tanks back down to high 30s
You should post more than just in-game settings and configurations. Not just hardware specs but the rest.

lol what, countless people are having performance issues with wow?
Try running it in DX12 mode.
You’re running dx12, right? Performance was dog until I swapped to it. It’s still dog, but it’s better! Dx11 seems to have some memory leak thing with it.
I have been having stuttering issues with wow since DF launched, but other than that the fps is fine.
Mine is not even a high end system, AMD 3600x with a 6600XT running maxed (without rt) at 2560x1080. I keep my fps locked to a max of 120 and the game pretty much stays at that, it goes down to like 90 when in busy areas such as Valdrakkrn and to like 40 to intense moments like world boss or the huge mass pulls at the citadel.
I also use the raid settings to lower my graphics to 7 in instances and yesterday in the raid I was at around 100fps during the fights.
I know it’s not 4k, but for my system 1080p ultra wide is probably about as demanding as 4k is on yours, so I suspect there’s something wrong with your PC, maybe some background processes slowing things down?
