Dragonflight most underwhelming final boss for any expansion

Each expansion, including WoD with its cut content, succeeded in featuring a fitting final boss, whether through their compelling storyline, dramatic buildup, or simply their imposing presence which could put a conclusion and fitting end to their chapter and expansion, but Dragonflight’s final raid and boss shares none of these qualities and doesnt make sense as an end expansion raid boss, it doesnt feel like we accomplished all that much in Dragonflight, and Fyrakk is even just a reskin red version of Raszageth the 10.0 final raid boss.

What do you think of the final boss of Dragonflight, does it feel alright to you, does it feel like a proper ending, and if not who or what would you have like to seen as the final boss, and/or what direction would you like to have gone in instead?

Occasionally, I enjoy devling into the adventure guide to explore the various raids and their bosses that have taken place throughout time in each expansion and relive the story. However, when I browse through the Dragonflight adventure guide, I can’t help but feel unimpressed. It seems like the first true and real filler expansion, lacking the depth and excitement of the previous ones.

Well, the final final boss joined Xalatath in TWW. Not horrible but not great. They needed an end boss and only Fyrack was available.

DF was pretty trash imo

DF bad expansion not a surprise.

nah the Jailer was the most underwhelming, Fyrakk did his job as a bad guy, and I enjoyed the interactions with him, He was obviously a pawn to the others but he was a good conclusion for the dragonflight chapter as an enemy,

Its just a set up to TWW

Fyrakk and the rest of the Primal Incarnates (save for Raszageth) are laughable; “We hate the Titans and everything they touched, but now we’re going to take on Visages closely resembling the mortals we hate so much. Also, we’re now going to join the Void’s side even though it practically wants the same thing as Order for Azeroth, but we’re just the big, bad, but mostly evil guys and you need an obvious adversary.” Fyrakk also staying in his Visage form for two thirds of his raid boss fight was just embarrassing…

Fyrakk gets props for not having a British accent.

I liked Fyrakks fight. It was cool, fun and engaging

All of the raid bosses were pretty underwhelming after Raz imo. In this expansion it felt like we took out the primary threat immediately and then just needed to clean up the more minor remnants. Overall a pretty boring expac story after S1.

Pretty ambivalent towards Fyraak. Imprisoned for 10,000 years would make anyone psychotic.

Pretty ambivalent to Zoval. Honestly how afterlife works actually kinda sucks for all stakeholders.

N’zoth is established obviously but he just seemed to come out of no where in BfA it felt like, oh we’re killing this guy now.

That’s funny. Every expansion I hear complaints about how disappointed people are in the final boss.

I enjoyed Fryakk as a character more than Razzy, but Razzy was the best encounter of the expansion for sure.

Worse end bosses?

Jailer
Nzoth
Deathwing

Maybe tied with Archimond

KJ as the final boss of TBC instead of Illidan I felt was lame too, even if of course I like getting more content. It felt pretty tacked on, especially with Kael back randomly in the 5 man.

I like Illidan not being the final boss. SOTN vibes - fake-out villain / not the true baddie.

The Legion was the real threat in Outland / to Azeroth.

I thought Zovaal was a decent villain boss. Anduin was by far superior to him but Anduin is close to S-tier (but not quite imo). Zovaal felt mid.

Deathwing does seem like the undisputed worst last boss though.

To be fair, people have been asking for an expansion that isn’t some mega cosmic threat for the last, what, 3 expansions? Dragonflight was meant to be a fun, exploration expansion, not the cosmic jaunt the last 3 have been.
Was the story amazing? No.
Was it better than BfA and SL at least? Sure.

Their visages also look super goofy (well, the last earth-themed guy looks sick, not gonna lie).

Man I loved Fyrakk as an end boss; dude’s an A-hole and loves it with no big plot or world ending crap. Hell the achievement you get where he just laughs at you the first time he kills you had me in stitches.

I’d take him over Zovaal any day of the week.

I think most of the Deathwing hate is just how cookie cutter Dragon Soul ended up being (probably because of the introduction of LFR)

Spine was kind of a meme because it was like your guild either cleared it easily or it somehow broke your guild apart.

I think Madness of Deathwing is one of the coolest fights in the game

its the most true to cinematic expansion wow ever had

cinematic was bland and tropey. DF was bland and tropey

thank god for chris metzen but the first worldsoul cinematic was so mid

Y’all think Fyrakk is lamer than treating Deathwing’s bad back acne and clipping his toenails?

I know the average IQ of a WoW forum user is probably room temperature at best but y’all are not gaslighting me into believing that you’re that stupid. You just aren’t.
