i mean it helps when you have an engaging and visceral storyline for an expansion that leads up to the final boss getting his back acne treated
DF was the most bland unexciting storyline ever. so obviously, the final boss is brushed off as the same. and honestly he was so comically evil its horrible too

That wouldâve helped. Good thing Cata didnât have that and used the ultimate cop-out of time travel to explain away how we were able to forge a new Dragon Soul to kill him.
Youâre giving Cata way too much credit from a story perspective. It was objectively not a bad expansion (DFâs way better and youâre wrong if you think otherwise) in the slightest but Deathwing was an incredibly poorly-handled villain.

Minnie Kong punching toes vibes.
In fact, thinking about K Rool, Deathwing would have benefit from letting PCs grow enormous to fight the dragon toe to toe.
This is about the boss, not about the quality of the fight, Deathwing was on the cover of the expansion and was a world ending threat and an iconic lore character, he was obviously a very fitting final boss to the Cataclysm expansion, while his fight might have been meh, heâs a top tier final expansion ending character up there with even the Lich King, while Fryakk was not, Fryakk was nothing by comparison, heâs a nobody.

deathwing would wipe the floor with the lich king btw
iridikron was also put into reserve and will be the first boss of the first raid in the last titan
Itâs user score is a little bit better than that of BfA and Shadowlands, but thatâs a pretty low bar. So yeah⊠df is not even mediocre.

This I can agree with. I think WoDâs cinematic was better but Cataâs was good.
Too bad the boss himself was garbage.
That laugh the first time he kills you is everything! Fyrakk just wanted to have fun. He even says so! He like burning things up! He likes destruction! He is pure chaos without any deeper strategy! Was there some encouragement/manipulation from more shadowy and conniving sorts? Sure! But he would have been doing the same thing with or without shadowflame.
âYou burn better than you fight!â I mean come on!

You couldnât even tell me who the final boss in Wrath was.
Give it a couple of years and i doubt most people will even remember his name.
I think Fyrak killed some Niffen, who we had only just found out about their existence. Annnd, he threw some insults at the dragon aspects? What else did he do to build up his resume of villainy? I honestly may have missed some of it as I took some time off from the game.
Overall he just seemed like a random yells some stuff and drops some loot par for the course mid-boss.

Fyrakk was a plot device, not a villain. His whole purpose was to leave us with something after we got a glimpse of Iridikronâs plans. Iridikron was always painted as the biggest bad guy out of the bunch, but heâs important for later parts of the story as yet to be told.
Hey, Kael merely experienced a setback.

To what extent do you mean that?
Because DW was a cool villain who was convincing enough and also a threat! His voice is just great and Fyrakk is underpowered in comparison.
I never really got âfinal bossâ vibes off Fyrakk through the expansion, despite all he did.
I saw four incarnates being named, anticipated 4 seasons and just leapt to the obvious story structure that weâd be facing off against one incarnate each season. And I never really let go of that thought, even when it became clear Abberus wouldnât be a showdown with one of them.
(I liked him as an antagonist, I was just a little surprised he was the finale)
