There’s no power tied to these so no.
And you should read the whole thread before responding to people.
It’s says renown not covenant.
It’s not a covenant system, it’s a reputation system. You earn rep, and achieve renown with that faction. You get rewards for each renown level, and you earn renown through reputation. You can do them all simultaneously since it’s not a covenant, it’s a faction. You earn pets, quality of life upgrades, and cosmetics from this system. It’s for people looking for that type of content.
Renown/Covenant 2: Electric Boogaloo
So it’s just rep again really.
But instead of unlocking a few things at a time every big chunk of rep, you get them one by one for smaller chunks.
I grind this things to max religiously anyway, so it’s a wash for me.
Agreed, this was my first thought when I started reading.
“Oh, so it’s gonna be Covenants 2.0?”
Not that I won’t do it though.
I did mission tables in WoD, in Leigon, in BfA, and in SL… ill do this renowned rep covenant faction thing too I guess.
None of them are forced at least, and they all sounds much less intrusive on the story than the covenants were.
You can still get everything done if you dont have alot of time, it will just take you longer to do it…
That’s a tuskarr child (since tuskarr women and children actually have proper models now), not sure they’d want you to keep their kids as pets XD
The word usage of Renown doesn’t bug me the slightest.
I am curious however, how the system is different in DF compared to SL? Seems the same to me? Just that you can level all 4 factions rather than locked into 1 at a time?
reading the word renown unironically triggered something deep in me and made me extremely less happy while reading the article. probably should burn that word to the ground.
Go on…
Well gosh darn. This is actually good.
Cool
Please no
Again for people who haven’t read the whole thread. This is just rep with more rewards. 2,500 (may change) rep per renown level.
It’s also much better than rep and the old renown. It’s not tied to player power. Other than the few renown levels that give you a piece of gear, everything is account wide.
If you liked rep but wanted more for the amount of grind you do, this is for you.
Please tell me this doesn’t mean we’re getting more sanctum-style things, where the fourth one is some type of game we have to do. So not doing that again.
THey have been saying renown would be the new form of rep pretty much since the day they did the Dragonflight announcement back in April
It is actually easier to track and to see what you get with each renown level .
Also with DF you can work on all the factions at the same time if you want. It’s not like you can only work on one faction like Covenants.
This sounds really fun.
