I didn’t really like it much either, but the caverns had some of the coolest art I’ve seen in the game.

Dragonflight was great artistically, and I already feel intensely nostalgic about it. The Waking Shores was a better looking zone than anything in TWW including Hallowfall. Also the login music and theme of the expansion was great. The season 1 tier sets from DF were better also

I thought a lot of the art was actually amazing. Even Zaralek Cavern. It was the mole people that killed the zone for me.

I do have a complaint about this. All of the weapons in this game now look like those foam weapons you see people sporting while cosplaying lol.

I actually think all four zones had major charm, including Maldraxxus.
But Ardenweald and Bastion were very very very bright. In a lot of situations I found it hard to see in Ardenweald.

Dragonflight is probably why they brought Metzen back. He was the original warcraft art/story guy, and DF went completely off the rails on both and was heavily criticized for it. That was the third strike after BFA and SL had a weak reception.

Never criticize? SL had a strong beginning but Korthia, Zereth Mortis, DF being recycled imagery. I’ve been saying it for a while, but even with TWW thus far, Blizz is running out of material, and their new stuff artwise is an utter mess!
