I loved Zaralek Caverns, there just wasn’t enough to do down there. I’m a huge fan of underground zones though, I absolutely adore them. TWW has been amazing for me, especially the Ringing Deeps, one of my favorite zones ever.
I wish you could remove their wings, and only have them pop up when they glide, like Demon Hunters’ wings (maybe as some kind of glowing thing resembling the color of their main dragonflight). I don’t mind their appearance overall, but the wings just feel clunky and annoying.
I’m going outside the box and going with Vanilla being the ugliest time in the game’s history, zones are pretty bland, armor sets look mid until some T2 sets and most of them still were gross.
I thought most of the mogs were pretty bad and I didn’t like most of the zones. Turned me off of overworld content because the only rewards I could get were cosmetic. But I don’t want 5 different copies some centaur boots. There were a couple good tier sets. But the first tier was awful all around. Zones were pretty uninteresting. Azure Span was just Borean Tundra with Grizzly Hills thrown in. Oh’nara was big but empty. Waking Shores was just uggo. Thal was the coolest looking zone. It’s too bad the Titan themed sets were also meh.
They added size options that effected the entire body, not just the chest. The fourth option bulks it up quite a bit, though not as much as the people who wanted fridge dragons wanted. Weirdly, despite all the call for it, I do not actually see many Dracthyr using the fourth option.
I like the race though, and I liked the aesthetics of Dragonflight. I enjoyed Zaralek Caverns quite a bit, though I have always liked underground areas. I also really liked Azure Span, Forgotten Reach, and Thaldraszus. Valdrakken is legitimately one of my favourite cities in game, only second to Suramar.
Also liked the riding dragons they gave us. Not all of em mind, but there was enough of a variety that you could generally find one you liked. The Slitherdrake was my favourite personally.
Only thing I did not care for was the storytelling. It was not as bad as it had been in Shadowlands, but it was still kinda eh at times. I would have loved the same attention to dialogue and world building we are getting now back in Dragonflight. Heh, better late than never though.
All that said, tastes are subjective. One person’s like is another person’s dislike. I am sorry Dragonflight was not to your taste, and am glad you are enjoying this expansion more.
I speak for gamers, not for your kind. Nobody attacked you, you don’t have to send me unprovoked notifications either.
I’ll take your next attempt at a smarmy notification in my mail as you are certainly the narcissist who thinks you should get the last word in though. Proceed.
Iunno, visually Zaralel was one of my favorite zones.
Seems plenty popular for a new race. There are people disgruntled about its looks, just like there would be if the design space for it had swung towards huge drakonids, but then if we had huge drakonids people would whine about not fitting in doors.
Well I’m not fond of Zaralek caverns, they are kind of ick. Then again I don’t much like underground stuff anyway…
Dracthyr I strongly disagree. I am sooo in love with my Dracthyr. It’s my favorite race. And judging by the massive number of Dracthyr I see now since they have opened up new classes, others rather like them as well.
Proto drakes. No I don’t like them. They are as you said, bulky and awkward. But, I have a lot of mounts so I pretty much ignore them. And, as a Dracthyr I myself can fly.
I think some of the areas are rather cartoonish, but a lot aren’t. I love the art overall. I think it’s incredibly beautiful.
DF is so far my absolute favorite expansion. I love almost all the quests, I love the scenery, and I love my Dracthyr. lol
TWW, um… Nope, not for me. The Isle of Dorn is ok, underground I intensely dislike. Especially the Ringing Deeps.
I got my main to lvl 80, unlocked Earthern and parked her.
Trying to motivate myself to take some alts though, but so far haven’t been able to do that. I get to the Ringing Deeps and just log off.
I am actually on a few alts totally ignoring TWW and just doing DF. Probably won’t take them though TWW.
I do wish though that they would tone down the fog just a bit. I get the need for it, but it’s a bit overdone.
