I know most of you are ready to dance on its grave. But it is my favorite DPS spec so read my thoughts if you either want to get excited or cry with me.

When the Warrior class tree first came out I thought Warriors would easily take the cake for best class now that they could talent into Stormbolt, Double Time, and Impending Victory all at once.
-
Then every other class got its trees and the new mobility/control on Rdps/Healers far, far out-trades Warrior’s enhanced mobility/control. Ex. All Hunters can now have Intimidate/Steel Trap/Scatter Shot/Frost Trap through the Class Tree alone, complimented by more CC like Tracker’s Net and Steady Shot Stun from PvP talents. All Shaman have Lasso, Earthgrab Totem, Multi-Cap Totem, Gust of Wind, Thunderstorm. Mages get multi-blink, double Frost Nova, Ring of Frost, Blast Wave Knock Back, and Dragon’s Breath Incap via Class talents. Frost gets an ability to create terrain for LOS and DK’s Remorseless Winter Stun. Evoker excels in control and repositioning.
Feels like there will be excessive amounts of CC to use every time a Warrior connects with its 3/4 mobility spells. (Two Charges, one Leap, situationally Intervene.) We only have one Ranged CC that can stop casts (Stormbolt, and it’s just 20 yards.) Spear Root is cool and all, but it doesn’t stop incoming CC, and it’s now a 1.5 minute CD.

Fury doesn’t have Bladestorm or War Banner, Arms does. This also means you can’t double Bladestorm with Signet.
-
No more Recklessness Charge on Raging Blow.
-
No more CC-immune Fleshcraft to avoid CC.
If Fury is good in Dragonflight, it’s because it’ll be like Wrath Warrior, where it spends most of the game in CC and just blows you up when it connects. Which I don’t think is fun for anyone.
Would strongly prefer Fury to avoid having Retribution-levels of Burst but get more anti-CC, mobility, or Ranged CC to avoid that sort of design. Examples:
- Return Bladestorm to Fury via Class/Spec Tree. (I want this more than anything else.)
- Make Spell Reflect reflect ALL spells for the first second so it doesn’t get popped by stray Moonfires and the like
- Move Blood Rage into the Class/Spec tree
- Give us a class talent for Charge protection (like if CC’d during Charge, the CD is reduced by half)
- Put some throughput PvP talents like Enduring Rage and Battle Trance in the spec tree to make room for new PvP talents focused on Ranged CC like Gag Order or Garrosh’s Taunt from HOTS (but make it break on damage like Succubi Charm).
Any combination of this would help Fury avoid becoming Wrath Warrior (or just bad) by trading burst for sustained damage and uptime.

I guess you’ll just have to learn how to use your mobility instead of mashing buttons like an ape

Every single RDPS class will have at least 3 more buttons to make separation than Fury Warriors will have buttons to close separation.

I don’t think you’re going to find much sympathy for warriors from anyone here lol. I personally think the tree is quite solid still. Using mobility should be a thought process, not a 1 for 1 match vs every caster, imo.

yeah dude nobody liked wrath warrior. it’s remembered terribly. good eye
nobody else wants any melee to get any of these things. you should have to queue with a ranged to be able to have those tools
stray moonfires from who? post in the bg forum for stuff that only matters when you’re 1v40 on a flag. accounting for enemy gcd usage is part of the reflect skillcap

Yeah, it’s never 1v1 in Arena/Bgs. If one player can far out-trade Warrior in creating separation, the other two helping it just add overkill.
Fury players will obviously have teammates too, but they’re going to have to do a lot of heavy lifting to get their Warrior uptime because the Warrior cannot do it on its own. In the end I see Fury Warrior just slipping into uselessness unless it overcompensates with burst, because of the enhanced mobility/cc rdps/heals now have. (Plus Rogue/ Survival/ DK offer far more CC while Ret has better CC protection.)
I hope fury is never viable again

Well the alternative is Wrath Warrior or Warrior is just bad (which shouldn’t be an argument) - so what do you pick?
Warrior needs to be viable while trading 4 gap closers into 8 gap makers from each RDPS/Healer via overwhelming burst - or Warrior has better sustained damage and uptime?
this is a misunderstanding i can try to clear up: the most prizewinningly dumb things you said initially are being held up as entertainment. you are not being conversed with

Meh, I’m conflicted. I’m of the mind that every class/spec should be competitive with each other–but I also think classes that have zero responsibility to do anything but tunnel a target until victory shouldn’t be as rewarding as they have been in this expansion.
I’ll have to plead ignorance on what changed, or what I think would make Fury tolerable but still good; but getting ran down and mercilessly hammered by Fury/DH is about as/even less fun than sitting in 55 stuns by a Rogue.

Well you avoid that design by reducing damage and buffing team-wide utility and crowd control.
and we sidestep another inch closer to caping for a tank meta

Fury warrior mains are so annoying.

Tanks are looking great in Dragonflight, btw. Idk if they really need the help right now.
Have you seen Vengeance’s talents lately? So much wombo combo potential.
Fiery Brand gets two charges, increases Fire damage taken by 30%, Soulcarver returns and does 300% attack power plus 100% over 3 seconds as FIRE damage, Veng gets the Hunt (455% attack power) plus talented 300% over 6 seconds and Elysian Decree (350% attack power), a variety of other damage modifiers, and has Imprison, Sigils of Silence/Misery, Chaos Nova, and Illidan’s Grasp to set all this up.
Happy Tank Skipping Noises
you’d think that’s the lowest it goes right

Have you gotten any b[redacted] lately?

Well Shadowlands Ele is like the most trainable thing in existence. The fact it’s getting Gust of Wind/Wind Rush/Earthgrab is justice well deserved.

I don’t feel sorry for any class that can gap close a double blink.
Hate warriors and their ape like playing style.
Except for Binky the Orc.
He was a cool warrior.
