Dragonflight Fury looks really bad in PvP

Did you forget that warriors played with ret pala’s the entire expansion. Undispellable freedom & sprint anyone?

Half the stuff you listed in your original post aren’t even true.

Intimidate will be used on healers for stun trap, not to create separation. Steel trap is locked behind two useless talents and won’t be picked. We always had freezing trap (or tar trap if that’s what you meant). No way you can pick Tracker’s Net since Chimarael Sting, RoS, and Survival Tactics being mandatory.

Lasso cd got nerfed. Earthgrab cd got doubled. Taking cap is troll. Gust of wind requires 5 talent points in order to bring it back to its former glory, which you won’t take. It’s cd is so long that you can charge twice in one Gust of wind. Thunderstorm I’ll give to you.

Blinking out of stuns is (currently) better, so no double blink. Taking double nova is a waste. There are a ton pvp talents better than Ice Wall.

Evoker has a 25 yard range.

You forgot that Fury Warrior is keeping spear. Shorter cd on leap. Defensive stance. You’re keeping kyrian pot.

Warriors are looking great rn. So great that I’m practically prepping my warrior for launch since hunter talents look so bad.

It’s actually frying me how long it took Mages to realize that they could function without Shimmer.

fury, demo lock, bm hunter should never be good in arena

I could honestly stand Demo if it didn’t require paging somebody on btag to come duel and test nameplate addon settings. Fury is a bit of a melee statcheck tumor, as is Beast Mastery, but that’s just how the casual/newbie/collector spec has to be.

I’m referring to rewind 45 second cd Blink.

And yes - other specs will use SOME of their CC on players other than Warriors. I haven’t even mentioned the spammable casted CC like poly/clone/fear.

The point remains that the ability to far outrade Fury Warriors exists, meaning you can afford to drop CC on other enemies or forgo a CC/mobility option.

Well, Arms looks like it might be cool, but Arms also has War Banner and buff Bladestorms that free cast Mortal Strike for you. Also Signet Bladestorms.

I still doubt Warrior is going to have an amount of uptime that feels fun to play, and definitely not Fury.

Not going to help with the amount of other forms of CC and mobility now present. I.e. Blastwave Knockback and Dragon Breath Incap on every Mage Spec. Thunderstorm and Lasso on Resto/Enhance.

It’s not an exaggeration to say most RDPS/Healers will have double the separation potential of Fury’s gap closers.

Small nitpick, but you could always dispel the freedom from the war. It’s only undispellable on the pal.

Setback was the only one that knew this for the last 4 years then they all got his favorite talent nerfed.

and right on the heels of being sharply reminded they could function without triune. it’s crazy!

I remember when they neglected to nerf Triune and all the Mages were like “omg I’m so much squishier now is this class even viable” and the changes just legit didn’t go live despite them putting out some patch notes.

I wish we could see stats so that if they ever accidentally put out a “placebo” nerf that we could see the play rate of something drop by like 20% despite no actual changes.

remember when it came out after legion that sparring only affected auto attacks or something? someone told me the actual effect of the passive everybody was taking into double melee was worthless

Year and then some of BFA before it’s like “bro wait maybe sockets make us weaker due to scaling”.

I remember everyone in BFA going “How did you get glad without shimmer?” “Are you trolling pls play shimmer”

I’d say /no I don’t trust LFG healers and i hate being stunned you can get db poly just fine with it and its fine trust. I used to get so much grief for it until xaryu/mitch started playing it and it was suddenly meta and in AWC

now its gone forever =(. Arms/fire with blazing soul + triple caut blink in BFA was the jam tho

Actual NPC hivemind determining what’s playable.

Some Rogue in the class Disc asked if Kyrian Outlaw with Shadowdust might be good because of all the CDR and everybody trashed him because “bro if it was good everybody would be playing it”.

I will truly miss that build more then anything.

Triple cauterizing blink
Triple master blaster
Blazing soul
Coastal surge enchant.
Gpyro + meteor combust 100-0 out of sheep. Run and live till you can try it again

I used to get so many hate whispers for that in 3s and always called trash mage. It worked though and let fire 1v1 any class/spec in a duel which was all i cared about back then LOL I just happened to make friends and get my first glad in bfa s1 doing it.

Fire looks about fury tier rn for DF. No good builds/defensive talent choices either dmg is always inferior to frost/arc.

Was it Casius? He knew outlaw was going to be insane before anyone else I know of and was obsessed with it for a long time until it became popular.

They don’t.

long time coming!!!
happy about this change

idc about the topic but anyone who advocates that X spec shouldnt be playable is a moron.

I stg the arena forums just wants to fight wholesome RMP and TSG as the only 2 comps until the end of time with 0 changes to any other class or systems.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that specs in a particular incarnation don’t deserve to be top tier.

No thats not unreasonable, but its unreasonable for you to want a spec to be permanently gutted and removed in PvP which is what some in this thread want. Players should be able to play what they want and its on blizzard to balance it accordingly.

Just knocked down to low or low-mid tier until it’s reworked/updated.
