I feel the opposite. For all it’s faults I loved the zones in Shadowlands and the way they reflected the Covenants in them. DF zones feel like generic WOW zones to me.

well df is certainly better than sl by a decent bunch but it’s still very boring lol. the game is on recovery mode so it’s floating up some but it isnt enough. dragon ridin n tradin posts were prolly the best things abt df. the rest eh n professions r garbage. in terms of story, i stopped caring abt it so idk whats goin on anymore lol.

Why wouldn’t you list those flaws? How’s this post help the devs improve the game or amount to anything more than whining (and a lie…if your addiction is broken you wouldn’t be on the forums).

Because Shadowslands did irreparable damage.
While BFA was bad, Shadowlands was the expansion that truly slammed peoples faces into the concrete. People broke out of their addiction, found other games, other MMOs they suddenly enjoyed and WoW was by then a goner.

That is why DF ended up selling so bad.

I’ll add some feedback: Some people hate having to chase a carrot on a stick, others play to chase a carrot on a stick. BfA had carrot, SL had stick, DF has neither.

That’s fair, though IMO it feels significantly more “Warcrafty” than Shadowlands did. Hell BFA felt more warcrafty than shadowlands. Probably because KulTiras and Zandalar (as well as the Dragon Isles) were already established lore from back in the day whereas the Jailer was a bandaid solution to a horrible lore problem lmao
